Re: Promiseland
Alright, class done, went pretty well. Went over more kanji mnemonics then went through all the example sentences in chapter 4 and read them out, first taking volunteers (and the teacher volunteered me for me, so) and then having each of us in turn read a sentence, with the rest of the class reading it out after the volunteer has. I feel like there was something between those, hold on, let me check my video -- nope, kanji, break, example sentences. She also volunteered me to screenshare my copy of the textbook again, and singled me out multiple times as like, when I was waiting for other people to respond first, like I've been asked to do, she was like 'Michael's waiting for someone else to go first, someone save him before he turns red from holding his breath'. And in addition to being asked to let other people go first (not directly) I've now also been asked (directly) to speak slower when reading things out -- but that one is very fair (not that the others aren't fair), I do just naturally speak very fast. Slowing down is going to make me stumble over things more, but it's whatever.
So! Homework is now making flashcards out of those example sentences, about 37 of them, plus the 5 workbook pages I still need to do and the two kanji workbook pages I've already done. And I want to read chapter 4 of the textbook, get context for all these sentences. That's going to be my day today, and if I have time and spoons I'll do more chores tonight, if not then tomorrow. I think I am going to jump in the shower first, here, though before I get down to studying. I did my walk right after class instead of getting onto the computer first, but haven't gardened because I'm not sure the pool guy has been here yet and didn't want him to interrupt me, so I'll do that when ash gets home. I'm actually not sure he came last week and I'm starting to wonder if the landlords haven't paid for him again.
Alright, catch up on internet, shave, shower, study, homework.

I thought there was someone in the yard earlier, but the pool was still dirty so I figured maybe I was imagining things
But no, he did a chemical service and left a 'please make a payment to reinstate service next week' note on the door

I hate that when I see cool art my first impulse is to try to figure out if it's LLM generated

Re: Promiseland
FINALLY remembered that I wanted to look for grape vines for sale this month, so my options ended up severely limited, but I managed to find a place that claims to still be selling them and will ship to California, so. There is hopefully a grape vine coming my way, and I will hopefully not kill it, and it will hopefully cover my fence and give me delicious grapes!
