The end of my weekend approaches! It's been a good weekend, although I'm tired and will likely go to bed a bit early tonight. Last night the combination of freshly fallen snow + city lights + fog/overcast meant that it was bright as day outside at midnight, and I struggled to fall asleep. I'm sure there's a name for this phenomena (a quick Google suggests "snowglow," possibly). Thankfully it doesn't happen often, but every time it does my brain is convinced we need to be awake, actually, and,,,,,

In any case, I didn't actually go to sleep until almost 2 AM, which is absurd for me. I took a nap today but purposefully kept it short because I didn't want to start shoving my sleep schedule in untoward directions, so it's catching up with me now and I'm about ready to be horizontal for the evening.

But! I got my chores done and I feel well-rested and in good spirits. I should've gotten some writing done, and didn't, but ah well! Problems for tomorrow Erika. Tonight Erika is going to take Baby Dog out to potty, finish my red mage quests in bungame, and then hop into bed to get ready for a new work week. Hope everyone's well!

It's my Thursday equivalent and I am supremely unmotivated!

I just want to exist and do not want to Do Things, but, alas, things must be done. The knowledge that I only have to survive today and tomorrow helps, and I did take an additional day off for a three day weekend because [top secret]. So relief is incoming, and I'm eager to be cozy and play video games (and also get a haircut at some point because I'm starting to get Leon Kennedy hair, which is unideal when you are not Leon Kennedy). I want to dig back into Elden Ring, for sure. The announcement of the DLC in progress has me fired up to do some more dooting around in the world.

Okay, gonna force myself to get up and at least go on a short run. As appealing as staying put in front of my computer until it's time to get dressed for work is, I must be kinder to Future Erika than that.
