I have plans to make more of the colorful glass towers and spread them out in my area using the different colors of glass, and I want to expand the mushroom/tree house area. Next time I play I think I'll finish exploring the cave I've been working through then prepare myself to head out and explore some nearby areas! I wanna find more pirate ships or sunken treasures.

Oh I also need to expand my farm to include things other than cows, I got a bunch so I could stock up on leather and now I can split the fenced area to make room for ducks/chickens (I'm not sure if there's a difference in Minecraft) and sheeps. BUSY BUSY BUSY

For now I'm going to stop staring at a screen and flop in bed for a bit. I may read or I may just rest and go to bed a little early, since tomorrow is my Monday. Ta!

I woke up super early today, and did the same yesterday; I think it's the sun coming through my window. If I was in a position to adjust and also go to bed a little earlier, I wouldn't mind, but I work until 11 PM so waking up at 6 AM is a tad oppressive. In the past I've had a dinky little curtain I tacked up there but I got rid of it during my last Spring Cleaning because, well, it's dinky. I dug out an Actual Curtain leftover from the last place I lived and can put that up this weekend as a For Now fix, and then buy something nicer if I decide I want to.

(this is specifically a springtime/summertime problem, because the way my window/blinds situation is set up I cannot close the blinds while the window AC unit is in and the window in question is the primary one in my bedroom)

Yesterday was busy! We had more homicides than expected, too. Mother's Day traditionally is a pretty low crime rate day (I guess it's harder to do a murder when you're getting brunch with your ma) but we ended up with a few MGSWs and at least one stabbing. I ended up with an off-duty police officer death (no trauma involved, though, it looked like an apparent natural but she was young and didn't have a doctor) and the police rabbi gave me gum. I was glad to be busy, and for the gum, because as far as I've come and as much as I've healed, Mother's Day is still kind of a butthole day.

Anyway, I'm kinda rambling and all over the place, so let me drink my coffeedrank, maybe play some more Minecraft, and then get my day rolling properly.

Took a personal day today! Definitely using it as a rest day, although I do have a VA telehealth appointment in fifteen minutes that I am waiting to be over and done with so my brain can exit Waiting for Appointment mode. I have to be brave and mention a thing so I'm a bit nervous, but at least I convinced them to switch to telehealth so I don't have to drive all the way to Evanston for what will be a few minutes of "meds still okay? anything crazy going on? okay see you in a few months." Minus the thing I have to be brave about, but we'll worry about that when we get to it.

Anyway, after that I need to get some groceries and then will probably slug out on video games for a while. My other goals today are to exercise and set aside some time to finish writing the chapter I've been working on. Oh, and I should probably go ahead and hang up the curtains!
