Gonna be another early night here, but tomorrow I don't have to be up at any particular time so I can just sleep in. Today was fun, though, and I didn't really crash until like an hour ago

Arcadia got called on account of it's a holiday in the other actor's country and kids were making child noises outside of the person's living space, so that's going to get rescheduled. ash put dye in my hair, and I played Ultimate Chicken Horse with Erika and Dave, as planned -- partway through, Erika and I decided that our goal wasn't so much to win but to prevent Dave from winning, and to be as annoying as possible in the process, which was very fun. Several times the level just ended up frustratingly impossible, usually via black hole and giant fan. That said we all won at least once. It'll be fun to go back to sometime! Oh I should also recommend Battleblock for us, I'm pretty sure that one can handle three players (but I'm not positive, so I should check)

ash and I hung out, finished that video essay and then watched a few random other things. Then he went to bed and I went to my room to play a little video games and watch a few more things -- but then I got tired and decided to go ahead and wrap everything up. I'll be listening to a podcast in bed here in a minute until I fall asleep, and then as mentioned I'll sleep in tomorrow barring the cats making nuisances of themselves. I do need to do laundry tomorrow and clean the litterboxes again, and refill water bowls. And Japanese study. And water plants. I think that's about all that's on my immediate future plate, though.

Anyway, gonna do the bed things, 'night!

I've been awake since too early because of cats hassling each other and me and peeing on the bed. Have arcadia recording in a bit and I'm doing laundry, and I'm going to do a full refresh of the litterboxes and get waterbowls cleaned and filled and then I am taking the day easy.

Google translate does hilariously badly with this one by the way, but it's literally "cats (derogatory)". Google just ignores the め if you input it as above and if you try to use the not-usually-used-for-this kanji it mistakes it for a different kanji¹ and translates it as "cat slave"

Sigh. Since I wanted to completely change out the litter in one of the boxes that meant I needed to use one of the yard waste bags, and of course it tore open immediately and spilled dirty litter all over the floor.

That's all taken care of now, though, and the cats have full bowls of fresh water to boot

I forgot it was tuesday until it was after 8, so I Stardewed with Dave a bit later than usual, and then we also ended a bit earlier than usual, but we got a fair amount done including the actual fall fair. I have gotten pretty good at fishing and was able to completely buy out the prizes, and we also got first prize for our grange display. Also sold a cow and bought a goat, and we've started making cheese, and I have a couple beehives, and we just upgraded the house so we now have access to a kitchen

After dinner, ash and I played some Shinkansen 0, an anomaly-hunting game by Chilla's Art (popular independent horror game developers), and that was really fun. We're nominally halfway through the game but the second half is much harder than the first.

Before that was dinner and youtube. I did laundry today and last night, and have a bunch of clean stuff waiting to get put away but eh. I'll do it tomorrow and hope nothing gets peed on.

The seltzer experiment is going well, except that the canned drinks have a very strong metallic taste. It's better if I pour it into a cup before drinking it, instead of straight out of a can, but I'm going to consider getting a bottle of something if it's cost effective. They're also not quite as flavourful as I'd like, but ash got me a bottle of lemonade and a shot of that into a glass of it is pretty good. I think mostly I just want a shot of sweet mixed in with it. But it lasts me longer through the day than a soda does, is a little bit of a healthier choice, and mostly scratches the soda-wanting itch. And if I'm drinking soda less, then the caffeine will be a more effective focus-tool when I do use it

I think that was more or less my day. Tomorrow will probably be a dungeon meshi with Sor, and there's another arcadia recording (but before the dungeon meshi, probably). I should eat some more food before bed, and then bed
