I also just noticed the masc chef's ears are extremely uneven and now I can't unsee it

Re: Promiseland
...both of their proportions look... /off/. Especially compared to one another. And I can't quite pinpoint why.
Also, why is he wearing sexy cooking gloves, and why is she wearing nail polish? Those are both kitchen nos.
Also. I thought the giant garlic was a squash. It's much cooler as a giant garlic.

Re: Promiseland
All real professional chefs wear biker gloves to work (or at least the ones that look like markiplier do)
But, yeah -- obviously people who aren't having issues are gonna be happily playing the game and not complaining about it on the internet, but the sushi DLC both is a buggy mess and it broke a lot of the non-sushi-dlc parts of the game, so a lot of people are in fact not having a good time about it

Re: Promiseland
Wait a minute, I also thought they had the correct number of fingers but on closer inspection
We've found the six-fingered man
Anyway, yeah, the back of his glove has weird textures to it, and the woman has the right number of fingers but the proportions on them are weird. I also don't know why she's tied a strip of leather around her waist, but given the rope around the man's I can't judge her too harshly. And there is just so much going on in the background that it's hard to know where to start (my favourites are the pile of indefinable mutant fruit on the far right, the pan made out of scrap metal just above it, and the formless shape on the hook holding up the giant block of cheese. And the circuitry inside the ... shallot? that's been cut in half. And the bumpy wooden handle sticking out of the pan behind the markiplier. The melting handles hanging just above the woman, including one that isn't attached to anything.)

But like. They imply these are new graphics for the game. But, how? What do they mean?

Covid test is negative but I am still feeling sick-ish, I think. I did accidentally sleep in until 2 this afternoon and could honestly probably go back to sleep at any time with no issue
I'm not gonna do that though because I'm gonna play Stardew with Dave!

Re: Promiseland
Was not allowed to sleep in today both because there was a recording scheduled but also because there was some yardwork or something happening outside my room that woke me up. I did go back to sleep after closing my windows so I got another hour, or just shy thereof. I slept until basically right before I needed to set up to record, and then got up and set up to record. As I ended up saying in recording, I'm still not feeling great and would possibly have asked to have the session rescheduled if it had been any group of actors other than the one it was, because my co-actor today is a consummate professional and is always very easy to work with. We have great chemistry and we're both very good at just getting in and getting it done (but not like, totally asocially, we still chat a bit. We just don't go On about it.)
Sor and I are probably dating today, and watching the season finale of Dungeon Meshi. Until then I'm going to zone out, probably, I have very little brain. Today's the last day of the ESO+ free trial, so I should take advantage of that, but I dunno.

Re: Promiseland
Cooking Simulator has a radio in-game that you can set up to play radio streams over the internet, and last night I dug up a Japanese oldies station to play in my sushi restaurant and got that set up. It's neat!
