'If you don't know why something is wrong you could ask the professor!' I could! Except that I have audio processing difficulties, she frequently has issues understanding people when they're talking to her, often explains things at length in a way that doesn't actually clear very much up, and in text is prone to just repeating what was already said as though that explains anything (like, 'this is incorrect, this is the correct way to say it' without any why or how). So, like, generally feels like more effort than it's worth.

Re: Promiseland
So the washer did in fact break last week, so we got a repair guy in to look at it who said 'yep that's broken and it's not worth fixing', so ash and Erik went to the used appliance store and got an emergency new washer, which was just installed today. I am currently washing that blanket I never managed to get washed the last round of laundry I was able to do, so we'll see how that goes. Hopefully it works well and lasts a while, cross fingers and touch wood.
Last night I bent my thumbnail backwards so badly it started bleeding and cracked past the quick, so I need to be careful with it and not make the crack any worse until it grows out enough to cut it off.
ash and I were going to watch Speak No Evil, but a couple minutes into it it came out that while ash had read the synopsis a while back, he didn't remember it super clearly, and on looking into it a little deeper it was decided that this was not the kind of horror movie he would enjoy, so we pivoted to Midnight Meat Train. Which was amazing and extremely enjoyable. Very Clive Barker, as we realised when we went to look up if it was based on anything with ten minutes left in the runtime, and discovered it was based on a short story of his. It's another one of those ridiculous premises that would not work if everyone weren't 100% committed to the bit and putting on authentic performances, and everyone in the movie is 100% committed to the bit and putting on authentic performances, so it works. There's a fair amount left unexplained that I would prefer was explained, but honestly those things don't actually matter, what matters is the Meat Train.
We watched a couple things after that and then ash went to bed. I finally got Slay the Princess last night and played it for a few hours, and I'm going to play it some more tonight. It's fun, very mindfucky, got some time loop shit going on. It's one that benefits a lot from going in blind, but it does a lot with Narrative™, and also a lot with gore and horror.
I am fixing my wonky sleep schedule by having gotten Very Little sleep today, so I'll be going to bed on time tonight, or earlier. Tomorrow I will do Japanese study, Tuesday will be skit rehearsal and also I'm playing as-of-yet-undecided-video-game with Erika and Dave and then Stardew with Dave. I also will need to actually sign up for next semester's classes then. But tonight: braindead gaming and then sleep.

Re: Promiseland
So I did go to bed on time and then I woke up after five hours and couldn't fall back asleep for like three or four. Did eventually, but that meant that I then woke up late in the day again, so! Not super successful.
Pretty braindead today, just been watching youtubes and practicing skit lines. Games with the boys Erika and Dave has been rescheduled to Wednesday, which is probably for the better because I've also been informed that tomorrow, Erik and ash are getting dinner out-of-the-house so I kind of last minute have to figure out a dinner for myself. Hopefully I'll have time to go get something before class, otherwise it'll be uhhhh, sandwiches I guess? I don't really keep dinner ingredients on hand anymore because it's so rare I have to make something that they go bad before I can use them, but then when I do need to make something I'm SOL.
Plan for tonight is to continue reading through the script periodically, and otherwise watch youtube and play video games, because I'm too braindead for much else. Going to jump back into Dark Souls, I think -- I've been playing through as a dex/sorcerer build and I'm just past the first act of the game. Not sure which ending I'm going to go for yet, probably the "bad" one because I've done the "good" one before!

Did not have time to go to the grocery store before class, but I did schedule some ingredients to be delivered later this evening, so! I will be making a stir fry
Did the thing again where I woke up after five hours and couldn't fall back asleep, until I did and then slept until the afternoon. This'll likely be quo for a while, until the season really settles in. Will keep trying to shift to something healthier, right now that's trying to accept that I'm pretty biphasic right now and just doing something for around an hour before trying to fall back asleep. Hopefully my brain can get the picture and start actually letting me fall asleep then.
Class was skit practice, so I just showed up, talked with my partner about the script a little, ran through it a couple of times, and then left class early. The script is now turned in and I am positive there will be a ton of corrections on it but hopefully we don't get docked too many points. This is a huge chunk of our grade. She offered to run through it again if we want to get more practice in and I might take her up on that tomorrow or something, but probably not. I will keep practicing it by myself, though.
I've been binging Jetlag content and I'm ready to settle in to a night of that until ash gets back from dinner at his in-laws'. Jetlag is an internet show where some guys play games like hide-and-seek within the borders of an entire country, or connect-four using US states; children's games scaled up Really Big like that. It's fun, I think Sor showed me a good one while they were here last and then Nick's discord was talking about it recently and the latest season is hide-and-seek in Japan, which I think is a very good setting for it. So I watched the most recent episode and then jumped back to some other seasons.
Anyway!
I didn't want the groceries to get delivered while I was in class, so I scheduled them for pretty late, and so I'm going to hang out and eat chips for a while until it's closer to them arriving.

I have made a dinner! It's ground beef and tofu fried in oil with some salt and a seasoning blend (I think "santa maria"?), then broccoli, carrots, sugar snap peas, water chestnuts, pineapple, bell peppers, and onions thrown in with some soy sauce. I considered making some noodles to have with it but decided eh
