I still need to reply to one more other student on the introductory discussion post, but I otherwise am current on linguistics class. Nothing particularly exciting happening there, yet -- aside from the introduction post, there was a quiz on the syllabus and a quiz on an intro chapter to our linguistics textbook just kind of covering what linguistics is. This is specifically an anthropological linguistics class, so it's a little more broad than I'd prefer, but I'm okay with that.
Professor is very very lenient and I super appreciate it -- most every assignment category drops your lowest score, all of the quizzes have infinite redos so you can just keep retaking them until you get 100 if you want, she's uploaded the chapters we're studying into the modules so we don't have to buy or hunt down any of the assigned reading, again the entire course is already posted and available so I can study ahead as much as I want. I do plan on doing so, doing some assignments in advance as I have time and energy. Between all of that and my genuine interest in the subject, I think this will be a pretty easy class.
