Date with Sor today! Usually when we date we'll jump pretty much immediately into watching things and then if we have time talk for a while, but today we talked for about an hour and then watched a thing (first episode of the current season of Taskmaster) and I think that worked out really well. Just a pleasant time, even though much of the talk was not itself of pleasant things.

For one we talked a little about Musk finally actually buying Twitter, and frankly there's a very solid chance I'll give up on twitter entirely now. I just can't handle twitter with even less moderation, which is the direction Musk has said he wants to take it. I know I've previously been on the 'fuck leaving, stay and be extremely annoying until Twitter is as worthless as Tumblr' but see above about mental health and b. it would equally make Twitter worthless if all the even semi-decent people got run off it and Twitter ended up like 8chan or whatever.

But I've finished off moving retweets from mekkitymek to mek_rts and submitted archive requests for both. May or may not formally announce that I'm leaving

 
Gonna do more No Man's Sky until sleep, which will probably happen later than it should. I have successfully finished fixing up an A Class ship and moving all my stuff from my old C Class to it so now I'm back to doing missions and trying to earn enough money to increase its inventory slots. I also need a name for it.

 
Supposed to lose internet for some time between 7 AM and 4 PM, and also tomorrow is when the new Paranoia kickstarter drops, and if I miss out on some Early Bird deal because of it I'm going to bite something. Maybe I'll sign in on my phone so I can use data if need be. Excited to find out what's in it, though! I have a complete collection of all the goodies for this run of Paranoia and I want to continue that collection. This is the one (1) thing I'm buying for myself until my debts finish getting paid off, which will hopefully be soon so I can hopefully start buying groceries more than once a month again

I am fully on board with your specimen tag piercing idea, and disappointed I've not seen someone do that before. It feels obvious, as bodymods go!

Woke up at about 10 this morning, did successfully back the Paranoia kickstarter (and it costs less than I was budgeting toward it, so that's nice). Then I did some linguistics lessons because an email reminded me that was a thing I was doing by way of informing me that I had tests due, which is, not a thing I was actually aware of, that there was any sort of deadline or, that I had signed up for those specific tests or,

Anyway I'm ignoring that in specific, but did get a lesson or two further along in the studies. I might do more in a bit here or I might be too braindead for that.

I then took a nap for a couple hours and woke up groggy and blah, had stressful dreams during it.

Lee was going to make dinner but the salmon he got at the store was spoiled, which was a bummer; we ordered take out instead and they got my order slightly wrong which was also a bummer but I was able to eat it anyway and it was mostly alright. We watched a couple Lupins while eating and then some youtubes and then Lee went to bed. Might do linguistics, might fire up No Man's Sky, might just zone out in front of youtube until sleep. I have very little brain right now so probably not the educational things.

Everyone -- e v e r y o n e -- who owns a social media site that goes mainstream becomes jaded, burnt out, and depressed before ultimately giving up and stepping down. Running a real social media site is a thankless burden of people doing nothing but complain at you day in and day out about things you just straight up cannot fix

I hate that Musk owns twitter now and I hate what he's going to end up doing with it. But that? That? Couldn't happen to a better person.

The only way to avoid it is to not be a public figure about it. But Musk can't do that because he needs everyone to know his every fucking thought. He needs all the credit, he's going to get all the blame
