Re: Promiseland
They're expired as of last month, so at least I haven't been testing with expired kits before now, but that doesn't do me a whole lot of good going forward

Shit, that likely means mine are too, which means I /have/ been testing w/ expired tests.
I'll try to see if the thing CVS keeps telling me about getting free tests still is valid. Not today, but when my headache is better

Per their website it should still be a thing, but who knows for how much longer. I haven't been able to do it because people with medicare have to ask for them in person for some reason
Did manage to go to bed at a reasonable hour last night, but then Oz woke me up at, I think about seven? And I went back to sleep at about nine, because I needed to eat first. And then I woke up for real at about two, so. A fail on that one
Have fed and pilled the cat, have abluted, have walked around the pool, have put more water in the pool and remembered to stop putting more water in the pool
Sitting for a bit now before deciding what to do with the rest of my day
Welp, since the state of emergency ended and insurance companies stopped being required to cover COVID tests, they have in fact all done so and now only cover ""medically necessary"" COVID testing
Guess I'm paying for tests out of pocket because like hell am I going to just stop testing in a world where 99% of people aren't paying attention to whether or not they could be contagious anymore
Oof, it's a pain day. Putting off chore things until tomorrow
I Absolutely 100% Have To have my room cleaned and the wood stripped by the time we go camping, I should also make packing easier on myself by pulling out things I want to take as I think of them over the week. Oh, and I need to record Translating Arcadia. Other than those, I don't think there's anything time-sensitive on my list, so those will be my focus when I can stand up again
I ordered some COVID tests to be delivered and ash picked some up while he was at the store today, so now we've both tested and we both got negatives. Truly can't afford to do repeat testing, not that we were before with how limited the free tests were anyway, so we're just going to have to bank on the tests being right
Mine is probably allergies, ash's is either normal sick or his other health stuff. I did do some research during all this and just in case anyone else hasn't been super clear on the symptoms of the omicron strain:
-No or mild cough
-Sore throat
-Upper respiratory symptoms
-No or less lower respiratory symptoms
-Headache
-Fatigue
-No loss of smell/taste, fewer reports of fever
Some people report lower back pain, sweating, nausea, and other digestive issues
I have fifty (50) cherries
I've started throwing unsalted unshelled peanuts onto my porch so I and Oz can watch whatever animals come after them. A couple squirrels have found out and they're very cute. I think they've eaten everything out there at this point so now they're just wandering around to see if there's any more to find
One just came all the way up to Oz (on the other side of the door) before it realised what it was doing and ran away
It's now done that three times
