Re: Promiseland
I also really need to cut my nails
I also really need to cut my nails
I've instead spent the afternoon watching a youtube about myhouse.wad. Did get that knife sharpened, though
(Copying over from hedgebound)
Time to play some more Rule of Rose! I've just started May, so still very early in the game
I think I'm about to get pushed off the ship
Oh... kay,
Well anyway, I was wondering about the lifts on the map! This should make it a bit easier to navigate
Hmm, my dog is trying to lead me somewhere but I haven't given him anything to sniff yet. Let's see where this goes
Huh! He took me to Amanda. I'm sure that'll be useful later
I swear the old photo didn't have a find option last month, but it does now
Oh look I found my marbles
Well, a marble, anyway
The existence of (other) adults in the game is genuinely unsettling
I now have four marbles
I ran out of inventory room so now I've lost the marbles again
I'm suddenly super tired so I'm just gonna chill until it's time to feed the cat, but today I sharpened a knife, sprayed some aphids, watered some plants, watched a panel show and a couple episodes of Mononoke with ash, and played some Rule of Rose (obviously).
Must have needed the sleep, because I woke up Very Late, but I then spent the day brainstorming a game idea with ash!
I burnt my tongue on dinner :(
So last week the pool guy didn't show up, aaaand this week the pool guy didn't show up, so ash called the pool people to find out what was going on and got told that the landlord had stopped responding to their attempts to contact them! So that's cool. ash then called the property managers and the property managers managed to get a hold of the property owner and got things sorted, but it's truly lovely that it seems like our landlord's MO for dealing with inconveniences is to just ignore them until they go away -- we previously had an issue with a toilet that took weeks to take care of because the landlord just, didn't respond to the property managers' attempts to arrange a solution. We still have a broken fence (like, completely fallen over in one section) from January that we're waiting on two landlords to deal with, ours and the neighbours'
But hopefully that's sorted and the pool will get taken care of again
Today! I! Brainstormed and outlined the game concept (hereafter R&DM (Random)) with ash, we will hopefully get some more of that done tomorrow. I also went looking around for assets for it and have a lead I'd like to use but might decide is too pricey for this project. I read more of Raising the Stones to ash while he cooked dinner -- we are very close to the end, which because this book is a monster still means we have like 150 pages left. Climaxy things are happening, however, and I'm eager to see where it all ends up. We watched a Wheel of Fortune YTP and then some Wheel of Fortune Game Grumps episodes, which was fun -- it's been long enough since I've watched them that I was able to play along, so we spent it trying to figure out the puzzles and (of course) laughing at the Grumps' shenanigans. Then I took a shower, and now I'm here.
I need to eat more before sleep, but sleep does need to happen somewhat soonish so I can get my sleep patterns back on track. So I'm going to do that, じゃね
Getting into arguments over the pronunciation of "Babel" is actually extremely appropriate, come to think about it
There was a crow outside my window when I woke up this morning! Unfortunately I've been bringing the food in at night to avoid attracting raccoons, so there wasn't anything out there for them, and when I opened the curtain to look they flew away, but hopefully they come back later or tomorrow!
Much of my day is spent not staring out that window, so I'm not actually going to know if any crows came back, probably, but we'll see if one wakes me up again
