hey! Philosophy Tube states who's speaking in the subtitles! I love it, more people should do that! Great for accessibility and for properly crediting the people helping with your video!

So often I'll hear someone reading a quote for a video essay and I'll be like 'who is that?' and not be able to figure it out because a name somewhere in the credits is not actually helpful for narrowing down which person was saying what in the middle of a two hour long video

Always been a huge fan of Philosophy Tube's subtitles. They're there as soon as the video goes live, they're not treated like an afterthought, they have extra information that doesn't confuse or detract from the video itself for people who actually can't hear what's being said. Philosophy Tube is the standard by which other creators' captions should be judged

Also this newest video, A Man Plagiarised My Work: Women, Money, and the Nation, is very good and contains a segment that has actually brought new understanding on the topic for me

So a couple days ago the feliway ran out, and there was an immediate and noticeable difference in both Cael (more aggressive) and Oz (more nervous). Luckily I'd already ordered a replacement (I wanted to try a different formula, even if I decided the first one was just placebo-ing) and it arrived the next day -- again, an immediate difference. I do need to spend more time giving Cael attention and encouraging Oz to be active, I've been not great either mentally nor physically the past while and haven't been able to, so that's definitely contributing to things. But it does seem the feliway is having an effect, even if it's not a miracle cure that has solved every cat-related problem.

ash is going to get one for the front of the house and see if we can't mellow all the cats out, and make sure Cael and Oz have consistent exposure even when they're not in my room

I'm trying out a new scheduling system -- basically just searched 'scheduler' in apps and downloaded the first non-sponsored one that came up, but it so far looks promising? But more importantly I have created a weekly schedule that I'm going to try to hold myself to. Of course, last night I had trouble falling asleep, so I took a melatonin, so I've been groggy for a lot of today, so I haven't actually started holding myself to the schedule yet (the next scheduled thing is in half an hour, so I'll be starting that then), and also many of the tasks will require the desktop computer so I'm going to need to get that all sorted out and usable again, first. I'll need to get all the stuff off the external into dropbox, and then everything off the desktop onto the external, and then attempt to upgrade the OS, and then re-set-up all the programs I'll need to be using... it's going to be a bit of a slog. But do-able.

As for today, I need to eat lunch and then get ready to do a productivity.

Hung a curtain in front of my door in the hopes that it'll help it warm up in here, though I'm not optimistic. It is so cold in my room at all times, and I can't keep my door closed without the cats driving me and each other insane, so whatever heat I do manage to make in here just leaves anyway.

I am pretty miserable, and pretty worried that it's also causing Oz pain

Oh good, I was super nervous that I didn't qualify for the promise grant anymore (my reading was that you get disqualified if you skip a term, and also my grades weren't great when I was taking classes while In Hell), and also I forgot that you can't get federal aid if you haven't graduated high school or gotten an equivalent, but apparently I do still qualify for promise because today the amount the college says I owe them is Much Lower
