Aaaand ordered the keyboard I wanted for me. I ended up going through Amazon just because the above site -- despite saying they do free standard shipping for most countries -- wanted $25 for shipping. So now I'm worried that I'm not actually going to get what I ordered, but I guess we'll find out! If it's wrong then I'll return it

For the record I do have needed a new keyboard for a long while, my current wireless barely functions and it's really annoying trying to use it. I also need to replace my wireless mouse eventually but for now that at least mostly works

It's been inconsistently rainy today, so ash and I took a walk around the block and got slightly rained on partway through, then when the sun came out again we hung out in the backyard for a bit and looked at the plants. My roses are all doing pretty good! The Joseph's Coat especially is Ready For Spring and has put out three buds already -- I've clipped one in an attempt to encourage it to put that energy into leaves and branches, but the other two I'm letting go because I like to let them get at least one flower out before I start being a hardass about it and crushing their dreams. The morning glory has also put out one sad little flower, and I'm surprised that it's not dead

I have picked out pretty much all parts that will be needed for ash's custom keyboard -- we're going with a neon cyberpunk sort of vibe, full RGBs, semitransparent keycaps, some accent keys of various styles to give it a 'made from scrap parts' sort of look. I have made sure everything is compatible with each other but I'll doublecheck once we start actually ordering parts, after ash has had a chance to save up and once everything is in stock. The great thing about this is that, while individual parts can run pretty pricey it is totally possible to just, try stuff out and if you decide you don't like a specific part you can swap it out for a different part

My ESO subscription officially expired today, which is alright because I haven't been into playing it much lately anyway. Eventually I'll renew and pick it up again, though I should at least log in to get daily rewards

ash isn't in the mood to board game today, so I'm just hanging out doing not much again. More youtube, maybe I'll read a book

So in looking for parts for ash's keyboard I've been digging into the ergonomic modding scene and the number of people I see using wrist rests,

nooooooooo

Wrist rests are so bad for you! They shouldn't exist! Stop using them! ESPECIALLY if you already have wrist pain!!

Don't type with your elbows or forearms resting on your chair either! I'm watching you! Don't do it!

Like I'll make faces at it but overlook it in other areas but in explicitly ergonomic areas it just, it's frustrating how often people seem to think wrist rests are better for you, and treat them as themselves ergonomic
