Electrolytes didn't help at all, so it must be something else

What is helping is doing my neck strengthening exercises, so I must have hurt myself at some point. I did remember, earlier, that I'd jerked my neck in the pool the day before I started getting this headache, so maybe there's a connection there, or maybe I've just been sitting badly again, or maybe that hypermobility flare did it, or some combination of the above

Fingers crossed it is getting better, though, and stays that way

So package got marked delivered-in-mailbox at 4:00 PM on the 15th -- this was weird, since it hadn't been marked as 'out for delivery' or anything. But at 4:30 I went out to check, and there was nothing on the porch and no mail in the mailbox, package or otherwise. At 9:00 PM I went out to check again, and this time there was a package for Lee on the porch and mail in the mailbox, but no package for me. The next day I went out to check the mail at about 5:30 and there was a package for Erik in the mailbox, and mail for the house, but no package for me. So I filed a missing package report with the post office, and they sent me an email and called me to tell me they were sending the mail carrier out to check. Today, I got a call from a different post office asking me if I'd received my package and when I said no, said they were sending the mail carrier out to check. Just went out to check again and no mail, but I wouldn't expect there to be any this early anyway (remember when the mail used to get delivered in the morning?)

We keep getting mail for someone who has a similar address to ours, but is not us, and I'm wondering if my package got delivered to them. I am starting to think that whatever happened to it, I'm going to at best get a refund instead of my package, though.

Headache was bad when I woke up, better after more sleep. "Fine" now. I washed my hair earlier, and watered my plants and topped off the pool. I think I'll video games for a while, here. I've been playing Okage, finally, and enjoying it. It's a pretty standard JRPG so far, and I'm waiting for the plot to really kick off, but it's charming.

I should also eat more; I had leftover soup earlier but I'm getting hungry again.

Tried calling that number and, after waiting for a call back from them, got put on hold and then hung up on. So filed a mail theft report with the USPS, which I doubt will go anywhere. Current best case scenario I guess is that someone sent it back to Glasgow and it'll get remailed to me?

Lee is going to try calling people tomorrow for me, maybe he can get better results.

Like, it's really obvious this package did not actually get delivered? Or it got delivered to the wrong address? This is ridiculous that the USPS is just like ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯, sucks to be you I guess

I'm tempted to walk down to that address we keep getting mail for and see if they have the package, but I don't want to

Among the worst symptoms of my fucked up body is that I lose muscle mass like, ridiculously fast. So if pain or fatigue or illness or whatever knocks me on my ass for a few days, I then have to spend time recovering from losing that strength

The headache thing is cleared up, I think? Mostly? It's at comes-and-goes now, maybe. It's hard to tell what's the same headache and what isn't, but I think I'm getting different headaches now that are of a more predictable nature (heat, hunger). But getting up and moving around is exhausting and painful and I'll dislocate something if I'm not careful, because I have gotten weak from being in bed for almost a week. I now have to ease back in to being able to do things like stand for longer than a few minutes.

It's very disheartening, among other things, to never be able to maintain any progress in bettering my physical health.

Anyway, I've cancelled tomorrow's physical therapy so I don't have to walk over to it, and also so I won't waste the therapist's and my time doing exercises that are much gentler than normal because I've regressed so much. I'll be back at it by next week.

I emptied half the dishwasher and had to sit down, and also got myself some lunch, so I'm going to eat that and watch youtube for a bit. When I'm done, maybe a little more linguistics studying, or maybe I'll just keep zoning out until Lee is home.

Found my sunglasses! They appeared behind my door, somehow, which is very strange being as I open and close my door multiple times every day. Genuinely no idea how they could have been there or how I could have gone weeks without finding them if that's where they were, especially because I did check behind the door when I was looking for them. I'm annoyed to have gone this long without access to them but I'm not annoyed at having bought a second pair, it's good to have a backup and these are pretty banged up after twenty years of wearing them.

Headache got pretty bad, but it turns out to have been either hunger based or exacerbated by hunger, despite having eaten through the day. Pain can make it difficult to tell when you're hungry, though, so I must just not have eaten enough. I had some pizza bites and felt much better, and now the headache is mostly gone.

I do still need to rest, though, so I'm in my bedroom for the night. Either a nap or an early bed is in store; in the immediate future I'm going to see if i can focus on linguistic lessons. Even typing is kind of wiping me out, though, so probably I won't have the energy to learn things.

For a few months now, I've thought Oz might have a lump on her side, but also thought I was just being paranoid and that it was a small asymmetry in her ribs. She's been to the vet so often lately that surely they'd have noticed if there was a problem

It's bigger, now, and definitely a lump. It's even more noticeable this morning than it was last night, but I couldn't say if that's because I'm more aware of it, because I irritated it and it's swollen now, or because it's actually bigger. Any which way, I want it looked at, of course, but I'm pretty sure it's a cyst (touch wood)

I will never complain about having to spend money on keeping her healthy, but this does mean I won't be paying off her vet bill any time soon. I looked into insurance again, and the ASPCA insurance not only doesn't take Care Credit, they also do the thing where they'll cover $25 of bloodwork a year and they'll charge you $250 for the privilege. I should get it anyway but since I can't put it on the card that has money on it, I can't right now, and by the time I can this will all be a pre-existing condition.

I love her and want to do everything and anything required to keep her healthy and happy, and it weighs very heavily on me that being poor means there's a very real possibility that some day she'll need some treatment that is possible to give her, that I simply won't be able to afford

On a whim last night I started doing DuoLingo's Japanese course. I've always been resistant to learning it because I don't want to have to learn three writing systems one of which doesn't even have the decency to be phonemically representative but I'm actually enjoying learning hiragana! We'll see how I feel when it starts trying to make me learn katakana, but right now I'm having fun

I love Gaeilge but it's very hard to learn a language without any exposure to it in the wild and it's just really damn hard to find stuff as Gaeilge. It will be much easier to find Japanese-language media to mess around with, like watching any anime or playing basically any video game. ASL is also a hard one to supplement, since you don't exactly read it, and most things accommodate deaf people by adding subtitles rather than signing. It's also harder for me to practice since it requires using my hands, so I can't do it very well laying down, or while holding something
