ELSEWHERE

Today’s my birthday. My dad and sister and a lot of that side of the family are all in DC celebrating my dad’s 70th birthday (his birthday is the 7th). I was invited to go and everything and it was my choice not to, and I don’t feel sad about it. Pretty much everyone on my dad’s side texted happy birthday, and we’re catching up and it’s fucking awesome.

But my mom didn’t message or email or anything. I guess she really has decided not to have a relationship with me. I suppose that’s good. Trying not to let it hurt.
