So really soon after class started, this comes in the discord:

This is a guy who has never said anything in class, aside from when roll's being taken. He'll get called on and he's just gone, dead silent at any other point in the class.

Like my dude.
Apparently she took him off the digital roster but still had him on her paper roster because she did accidentally call on him once class had started and someone else goes 'He says he was dropped from the class' and she goes 'Oh yeah, he was dropped for non-participation'

Like my dude, there is more to class than role call, I don't know what to tell you

Please do! Maybe they can help you get your shit together!
Anyway, so at the beginning of class vibes were rancid, I guess a bunch of people were suddenly paranoid that they'd get dropped, too. But you remember last time when I said she had said she was going to start dropping students for exactly this reason? That was prompted by exactly this guy failing to respond to the teacher calling on him and then claiming his microphone doesn't work. And she said, explicitly, that if you haven't participated in class she's required to drop you by, as it happens, this particular week, because this is the last week you can drop classes without penalty. So, he continued to not participate, apparently does not do his homework, and so the teacher dropped him! Just participate! Pay enough attention to know what she's asking you about and respond when she calls on you!
Anyway suddenly this class we had way more volunteers for exercises -- for the first half. After break we were back to status quo.
But we did some practice saying things do or don't exist, and a breakout room where we practised asking/saying what we're doing this week, which went alright. Then some practice saying where things are in relation to other things ("猫はテレビのうしろです。/ 猫はテレビのうしろがいます" (neko wa terebi no ushiro desu/neko wa terebi no ushiro ga imasu) - the cat is behind the TV (/the cat exists behind the TV), another breakout room in which most every student was an active participant??? A complete shock! And then a guessing game where we tried to guess the number another student was thinking of, basically. That went until the very end of class time, which I think is a first, I don't think we've had a completely full day before.
So! I have I think another five pages of homework and if I don't get more homework assigned I can probably get it done the day Sor leaves but if I get more assignments in I should do some of it while they're here. But for now we're going to eat lunch and then go out exploring somewhere, I'm not sure where or what we'll do.
