It is cold and rainy and that of course means that I am tired and don't want to get anything done. I have largely the same to-do list today as I had yesterday

Meanwhile though the PS4 is refusing to read the Elden Ring disk and of course I need the disk to play the game that's fully installed on the console, so I can't play it until I get that fixed. Sony's troubleshooting site recommended 'rebuilding the database' so I'm doing that, now, and I feel like I've done this for this problem before. So hopefully it fixes it

Sigh, doing this again

I may switch over to Monster Hunter if I can't get the console to reliably read the disk because I'm tired of fucking around with it and I've been wanting to start a new playthrough on that anyway. But it'll of course be a bummer to not be able to play Elden Ring, and I was looking forward to continuing the story some more

I'll have to get it on Steam on a deep sale, whenever that happens

The next step after this is reformatting the PS4 which, like, how long will that work for if it does, and how much on the hard drive am I going to lose?

The disk is flawless, it's a problem with the reader itself

I guess I'm done with Elden Ring for a while (again)

Sigh, Monster Hunter has been downloading for almost six hours and still has ten minutes to go
