This is maybe insufferable of me but anytime I come across writing advice in the wild it always reads as "try having the characters speak to each other!!!" or "sometimes a plot is nice!!!!"

Like ah. Thanks? I was gonna be avant-garde and have a cast of 80 with no dialogue or plot, just vibes. Every other page? I'll draw a picture of an animal I like

Obviously they teach entire classes about it and there are very advanced writing degrees and that is all extremely valid but as someone who has only ever fucked around and found out I'm like what do you mean you don't have over a decade of absolute cringe and that's how you learned
