okay, cleared Digimon World 1 off my playing list!

It's not 100%'d, notably I didn't do Myotismon's mansion, but I was having a hell of a time getting a Virus type Digimon and I had recruited and cleared everything else, so I'm calling that good since another attempt at a Virus type was feeling more painful than fun.

I extremely do recommend the patch I played w/ if anyone ever wants to replay the game themselves, it kept the game intact but fixed a bunch of bugs (especially crash bugs like Giromon's jukebox and the curling minigame) and made a few things more reasonable/less grindy, like Monochromon's shop was still hard but not, you know, impossible, which tbh it normally is unless you get super, super lucky.

Honestly it's still a fun game, despite itself, and I wish there were more games like it in terms of how the monster raising works. Just, you know..........better. Plus I'm a big fan of the Digimon World being this weird junky technology space, it's such a unique and 90s take on a digital world.

I've played only a couple -- looking at the list on Wikipedia, I've personally played:

Digimon World 1
Digimon World 2
Digimon World 3
Digimon World Dawn

I played a lot of Digimon World 2 and it is fascinatingly bizarre, you have a tank you upgrade and use it to explore dungeons. You have an RPG party of Digimon, so turn-based combat, but Digivolving them involves an actual mathematical formula where you have to DNA Digivolve certain parent Digimon of a certain level in order to raise the level cap of your Digimon. I remember having to write down actual math in a notebook for it as a kid! I have fondness for it despite that, though.

Digimon World 3 I only played a little when I could rent it from Blockbuster (ow, my joints) so I don't have much opinion on, but was definitely more story-based.

Digimon World Dawn I played on 3DS and was actually more classic than the others I'd played and you have a "farm" where the Digis get raised, it's cute.

I wouldn't mind going through however much of the roster is reasonable to play or try, I think I already have DW2 on emulator and can probably yoink some of the others. Plus there's so many newer games I haven't even touched, like Next World Order.

Definitely have been overdoing it physically, gonna sit down and stop wiggling for a bit but it's hard cuz I like to wiggle :'(

Check-in with my surgeon today and unfortunately the drains stay in until next week, which I kinda expected but still, bummer! They're mostly just annoying, though, so it's not the end of the world. Everything else looks great! I continue to be extremely happy with the results. It's like the difference between having a body, and living in a body, if that makes sense. This forum is full of queer people so it probably makes sense.

Anyways! I made a present for my surgeon's office, just a lil collage:

And today I've completed my body improvement and most of my environment improvement; still need to do a creative thing (writing, I think) before Lads Time (tm) later on today. I may also order dinner, I kinda want a burger.
