It was an expectedly annoying process, because I work for county government, and the whole thing involved me needing to walk to-and-from the county health services building twice. They also lost my pee! I had to drug test and due to all the confusion (it was a paperwork issue that would be boring to explain but was pretty typical government 'we want the same information that's on this form, but on THIS form that we are just now producing and want you to have fully filled out and signed by your surgeon today, a Friday' bullshit), the doctor tried to call me when I was on my way home like "heyyyy I just realized we need you to come give a sample"
cue me trying not to lose my fucking mind (I was out of logistical spoons and hangry, by that point) as I politely explained where they could find my urine sample (literally was like "yeah so if you go back into the lab, yep, the one by the drug screen bathrooms, yep, and look to the specimen cooler on the left side, I saw her put my sealed specimen on that middle shelf.......yep. yep. yep. that one. yep. have a nice day, I hate you") and then FINALLY making it home, at which point I ate a snack and took a nap because goddamn
D&D has been switched to every-other-Saturday for a bit now and while I totally understand (we had a player have a big schedule change and we've also been going for a few years, so it makes sense to adjust things as needed and also give the DM a bit of a breather) I'm also,,,,, crave blorbo time
I would try to find other groups to RP with but I just don't think I have the spoons for that right now and I'm a bit exhausted of the weird shame feeling of being the only one who posts or is interested, woe is me etc
Anyway, today I started off by getting some groceries early so I can do meal prep either today or tomorrow. That might end up being a tomorrow thing, but for today I definitely need to do some tidying and put away laundry because uhhhh I won't lie it's in a giant pile on my bed
I assume it's because as a Society (tm) and particularly a capitalist one, we have a lot of socially-trained opinions regarding other people's schedules (smash cut flashback to the fairly universal teenager experience of walking downstairs and getting a brusque 'good morning, or should I say, GOOD AFTERNOON????'), but holy fuck do conversations about how early/late people wake up become unnecessarily spicy so quickly
(I come at this from the perspective of being an early riser who feels like they have to caveat that nine thousand ways so late sleepers* do not bite my entire head off when I talk about enjoying waking up early)
*late sleepers who are taking out damage on me, specifically; I've met plenty of late sleepers who aren't dicks about it but the ones who are, goddamn, I'm sorry people have been mean to you about sleeping in late but let me have my early morning Disney Princess hours in peace
(and this isn't even getting into 'late' vs 'early' is entirely based off capitalism stuff, anyways, like some of it is the sunlight but that changes throughout the year and based off where you live geographically)
