Extremely busy week at work! It's definitely not a job you ease back into, so that's expected, but to give a general idea we have a minimum amount of scene responses we're supposed to do per month and I was exempt from that because I came back on, like, the 23rd, but I uh. I have my minimum! so. you know. I got that going for me

Aside from being busy though I'm doing alright!

peep my new tattoo!

It's for my long-standing D&D campaign with my friends! That's a raven feather (we have a Lot of Raven Queen shenanigans and my character, Rex, specifically has been affected by it) and a red string of fate tied around it. I love it! I specifically asked for the more blue tones, even if a bit exaggerated, that raven feathers have, because I much prefer colorful tattoos and I think it turned out great. I got the ultimate compliment which was the guy in the area next to me getting a complicated leg tattoo going "that's sick"

I did scrunch up my second skin beyond salvaging while I was asleep so I applied a goodly bit of aquaphor onto the tattoo and will swing by the pharmacy later for some replacement. I've noticed a big difference in my tattoos that used second skin for healing vs. not, so I'd prefer keep it properly covered for a few more days.

Anyways, I'll do that later because I have an appointment at 10:00 to view an apartment so I'll just combine all the things into one event, that way when I come home I can fully engage slug mode until D&D. Oh, and do laundry. and meal prep. and and and

I feel like Gone Fishing might end up like 7 Days to Die for me where I play an early version of it and have fun despite the jank but the jank is a little frustrating and then I don't play it for a while and years later it's a fully-polished entirely different game I'm baffled by

(although I didn't realize 7 Days to Die was "early access" when I played it, since that was ages ago and before "early access" was as much of a known and labeled thing)

Been on autopilot for a bit and slowly coming out of it!

Sophie is officially moved out and I think the only interaction we may still need to have is related to lease renewal (well, lack thereof). Soon, maybe today, I'll give her a deadline on when I'm going to nuke our shared discord server from orbit (deadline because I want to offer at least a few days for her to go through and grab any saved pictures or whatever she wants to keep). After that, I'll block her on discord which will leave her completely removed from my sight and my life.

I don't think it affects anyone in here but I would like to reiterate this is not a polite break-up on my end; she was extremely abusive to me, and I consider her an unsafe person to be around. I'm not sure if I'll trust anyone to live with me ever again, after this, I felt trapped and terrified for months and had to fight extremely hard to make her leave. I consider myself to have experienced intimate partner violence. I'm not saying this to be dramatic, but just to lay out in clear terms, both for myself and anyone who might even possibly interact with Sophie again, that I think she causes harm.
