24/25, but I used a kanji where she might not have been expecting it so that might change. I think she wants us to be using kanji we've learned in class -- so when I put 出る instead of でる, I think that got marked right, but I couldn't remember if we've done 気, and I don't think we have, so when I put 人気がある instead of にんきがある I think that got marked wrong. But if I spelled it right I'm sure she'll mark it right by hand. Everything else I did in kana because I don't think we've learned any of those kanji and I seem to be right.

Confirmed, just changed to 25/25

Homework done and submitted, muuuuch closer to the deadline than I'd have liked, but on the correct side of it! I did try to get fancy with it again so we'll see if I get marked down again. And I was rushing on the last page, so I may have made a dumb mistake there.

I haven't checked if there are any corrections on it yet, but she gave me 5/5 points!

Five dumb mistakes and one due to trying to use unfamiliar vocabulary (”デイブさんは剃るのが大きらいだと言っていました", "Dave said he hates shaving" - she has inserted a "hair?" before "to shave". So specifying that might be grammatically necessary? I might ask her about it)

But no corrections on "Dave said his family moved a lot when he was a kid", which I was worried about because that's kind of a complicated sentence and I had to look up how to say "move (house)"

Alright, got the two missed files in the backup downloaded manually and uninstalled Carbonite. I attempted to cancel my subscription but it looks like I can't do that if it's on manual renew? Hopefully just not renewing it is enough to cancel it -- I did specifically renew it last year on a one-use credit card so they couldn't just keep resubscribing me against my will, so. I did find a 'if you don't wish to renew, you can simply ignore the renewal emails' in their help files, but that appears to have been removed from the actual page it was on. I will attempt to just ignore them and we'll see what happens

While digging for information I did get these ... suggested searches, which speaks volumes about both their customer base and their customer service, I think:

今日はアッシュとPlateUp!をした。楽しかった。ハロウィンのコンテンツをした。水曜日にエリカとデイブもPlateUp!をする。火曜日、デイブとStardewをする。金曜日、父の家に行く。火曜日と木曜日はクラスがある。今週は忙しい。

Today ash and I played PlateUp! It was fun, we did the Halloween content. I'm going to play it again with Erika and Dave on Wednesday, and on Tuesday I have Stardew with Dave. On Friday I'm going to go to my dad's house, and of course on Tuesday and Thursday I have class, so this week is pretty busy.

We also hung up a few Halloween decorations -- a couple of garlands, some stickers on the window that are probably glow-in-the-dark but we never turn the porchlight off, and a little ornament hung on the door. We have other stuff we want to put up, and I want to swing by the store tomorrow to get a pumpkin to carve, but we didn't have energy to do it all today. We also played a couple more rounds of Kuukiyomi/Consider It, which was fun.

I have played a bit more solo PlateUp!, but I've turned the deck off for the night now so I can get to sleep a bit early. In a little bit I'm going to get ready for bed and lay down for a while, listen to a podcast before I go to sleep.

I would like to stop being so tired by the end of the day so I can do some more active stuff and work on projects and such, but that probably won't happen for a while. I'm working on it.
