Finally got around to playing Phantasmagoria 2 and wow this game is dumb

Oh man, so! Cult of the Lamb finally went on sale yesterday, and I've been expecting it to for Halloween so I set aside a little money for that. I wasn't sure if I would like it, because honestly you wouldn't expect me to, because I'm not big on like, town-management-sims and I'm not big on roguelikes, but it looked fun so I wanted to try it. And uh, so I started playing it and then when I checked the clock again it was 6 AM. Sooo.

I did manage to get enough sleep, more or less, despite that, with enough time before class to pre-do all the work in today's lesson plan. And class was not terrible, though a bunch of people seemed tired today. I honestly am pretty ready for class as a whole to be over but there's still a couple months left. Blah.

We learned and practiced 'the x which is doing y' constructions - 'the person who is wearing glasses', 'the person who is eating lunch', etc. Then we learned and practiced 'haven't x yet' and 'have already done y'. A bunch of students had difficulty following what we were doing, especially on an exercise where we were split off into pairs and had one person with Part A of a task and the other person with Part B, where Part A had xyz information and Part B had abc, and we had to ask each other for the information we didn't have. When we got back into the main room she would ask us for the information our partner gave us, but a bunch of people were like "No, I was the other part, I don't have that information" like, what, you just asked your partner the questions and absorbed zero of what they told you?

Disruptive Student had a couple annoying comments but was unable to derail the class. And again no comments in chat, aside from one person putting the page number for one of the assignments in there unprompted

That should wrap up chapter 9 for us, so we should get a quiz on all of it soon, and then start chapter 10, of 12 total chapters in the textbook.

So! Wrapped class up and then hung out with ash for a little bit, but he's not feeling well so he went to bed earlier than usual. That means I Stardewed with Dave a little earlier than usual, and just wrapped that up a few minutes ago (we actually started while I was in the middle of writing this post). It was fun, we got into Mr Qi's secret room and did one of his challenges -- rather, Dave did one of his challenges, I offered moral and occasional material support, because I don't mines much and the challenge was to reach the bottom of the mines again (but harder this time). We did the grange display and won first place easily. It's about to be winter again, which is funny because I bought my pigs at the beginning of the year and they've just now hit five stars, and I'm going to sell them at the end of fall.

I have three pages of homework again and I owe ash a chore list, and I'm playing video games with Erika and Dave in the evening, but aside from that my day should be pretty free. I'm going to actually eat dinner now and watch some videos, then video games until bed. I did check out The Woods All Black from the library because I think I'm ready to start reading regularly again, so I also want to crack that open tonight.

Also it is in fact time to break out the space heater, and we should also check the house heater and make sure it's working. It was 48 when I went to bed last night (this morning) and it hit that even sooner tonight, at about eleven thirty

Im planing on starting a discord for learning Japanese I’m getting the discord prepared soon. I’m trying to get native Japanese speakers to join. I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t have rules to follow and if there is anything that is very sick and illegal I will do what I need to do accordingly. I know that most of you are fine but I want to be sure.

今日はよかった！午後四時ぐらい起きた。アッシュさんとハロウィンの飾りを掛けた、次エリカさんとデイブさんとPlateUp!をした！二時間ごろ遊んだ、次アッシュさんとユーチューブを見た。病気だから、すぐ寝た。宿題をしている、ラジオを聞いた。まだ晩ご飯を食べない。食べて、ゲームをする。

Today was good! I slept in until about 4 (with a small window around 11 when the cats woke me up for a bit). Ash and I finished hanging the Halloween decorations, and then I played PlateUp! with Erika and Dave for about two hours. After, I watched youtube with ash for a couple hours, but he's still not feeling well so he went to bed shortly after. I did my homework and listened to the radio. I haven't eaten dinner yet, so in a bit I'll eat and play video games.

PlateUp! was fun, we did a stir fry restaurant in a witch's hut and got a fair number of fun enchantments. I'm pretty sure it'll all stay unlocked on that save even after the event ends, but even if it doesn't there are mods that unlock event stuff anyway, so we'll be able to go back to it if we want. It's just starting to get really hectic, so I hope we do!

I did start Woods All Black early this morning and I am enjoying it! I'm only a chapter in, but I love how well the author established the time period by just including details that are specific to that period without outright being like "It's such-and-such year". The transness is also being handled well by having people misgendering the main character but the main character's internal narrative continuing to just be like 'nope, am boy'. It also goes a long way toward establishing the setting, again without getting in-your-face, in how people are reacting to a person-they-perceive-as-female wearing pants eg, and in how the main character is reacting to being misgendered (it's not worth fighting this right now). I'm looking forward to seeing where the plot goes

I'm continuing to enjoy Cult of the Lamb! I am feeling a little tied to my village right now but I'm unlocking things that will let them be a little more self-sufficient, so hopefully I'm soon able to go on crusades without having to worry too much about losing their loyalty. So far I'm doing alright with just throwing a dissenter in prison when I get back and doing some sermons and/or rituals but! I just recently got a cultist with a perk that lets them break people out of prison!! So that's annoying. Oh I also brought a cultist back from the dead recently and they came back Wrong, so I'm rushing toward getting the building that will (I hope) let me fix them. Need to do that before they die again, I'm not sure if the game will let you revive people multiple times (or if they'll come back Even More Wrong if I do).

Alright, gonna go do things.
