I finished a book I didn't much care for and went to peruse some reviews on Goodreads and, like, I forget that my preferred social circle/friend group is not necessarily full of majority opinions until I see a legion of disgusted reviews over the concept of a human man falling in love with a seven foot tall tree monster (a "tree siren," in the book)

That didn't even occur to me as being something aberrant, I was annoyed that the book had terrible pacing and some weak/messy plotting

like obviously???? the enormous eldritch tree lady is attractive????

This is why those "hear me out" cakes/videos always miss for me, basically 100% of the time I'm like "well that's just an objectively attractive [whatever it is]"

Been tired this week, but in the not-as-bad way!

I've been making sure to try and take care of The Body in hopes that The Mind will sort itself out when able, and (predictably, annoyingly) it has been helping. Today, though, I was too tired after work to exercise or really do anything and laid down for a nap instead. Apparently I needed it, if the two solid hours I became unconscious if any indication.

Today is my Friday equivalent, otherwise I wouldn't have indulged in sleep so hard, but I'mma do power hour and then hang out in chat and play some video games until I get sleepy again. I've been chugging along nicely in Breath of Fire IV -- something about a really strong old-school RPG is hitting right now, because I've also been resuming my Chrono Trigger "perfect" playthrough -- and maybe I'll do a post about that game, because it's not super common to hear about and I adore it.

h'okay, power hour time, and then this weekend I have a bunch of packing/chores to do but it'll definitely be a slow morning tomorrow if I have any say-so in the matter

oh and I finished my goose painting

Sunday equivalent!

Yesterday was restful but still pretty productive in terms of chores and packing. Today is more of the same; I did end up cancelling anime hours because I realized I was dreading it, which is not the energy I wanna bring into a friend activity! It's entirely the time, we've (me, Masque, Greggo) adjusted a few times to account for me and Masque being very early risers and Greggo being a late afternoon riser. I think ultimately an evening time slot will work best, and we can try that out going forward because my weekend is about to change to Wed/Thurs, so I won't have a full Saturday free for about six months.

Anyway, that frees my day to do more chores and resting, which is what I intend to do.

It's a niche genre but I love videos of animals reacting to magic tricks

And to be fair I don't know enough about cat vibes to determine if the cat is actually reacting to the trick or is upset about something else, but there's lots of videos of dogs being like where the FUCK did the ball go holy SHIT,,,,
