Remember when someone was making a joke about my character in BSFF and they tagged Vic but not me

I can only conclude that it's something about me, that I do, that makes people not care about my work, because it really is pretty consistent over everything. I'd say it's that I don't engage in discord much but even when I have it's been a problem, and no one was talking in the discord before this conversation and people still got praise and attention and tagged

🤷‍♂️

I felt out of place in the BSFF/audio drama space for adjacent reasons; I never felt like I was fitting into the social niche correctly, and when I would try to do things in order to fit in (making a thread to comment on someone's story as I listened to it, trying to participate in workshopping) it just came out ...... wrong???? And would either result in me being ignored, or someone seeming annoyed or upset with me. There's also often kind of a clique of people who are popular and frequently cast in things/etc., which I got exhausted of, and just

man idk where I'm going with this but I think your work is great

Touched base with my skit partner today, we're going to do my idea of a conversation between two people stuck on a stopped roller coaster. This weekend I'm going to collect all the vocabulary we've learned over the semester to figure out what might be useful for that, and also I sent them an editable google doc with my general outline in it. We're neither of us rushed on it, but it is due in a couple weeks so I'll be wanting to focus specifically on getting it written soon.

ash and I watched The Matrix, then a few youtubes including the new Let's Game it Out, and then he went to bed and I went to play bus simulator. Yesterday, I texted a happy thanksgiving to my mom and she didn't respond, so I asked my sister if she'd heard from her and she hadn't, which was worrying. I followed up with a 'are you okay?' at mom and she finally replied, so I guess she is okay. As always I've got thoughts about, like, if something happened to her would I ever know? I assume one of us down here would get some kind of next of kin contact, but like. I worry. I feel like she's gotten less responsive, she never has any followup questions or anything when I contact her -- I told her I'm taking college classes and she didn't touch on that at all. A few months ago I sent her a picture I'd found of her grandfather and she just said 'thank you'. I don't know what she's doing up there in the woods except that she says it makes her happy to be there. I dunno.

Anyway.

Going to the grocery store with ash tomorrow, both because I need groceries and because I suspect they might have soda on sale. If they do they usually sell out of soda pretty early so we're also going to go in the morning to try to avoid that. I'm also predictably tired so I'm going to go to bed early tonight.

Definitely need to get some different tips for the ear buds. The smaller tips don't actually pad the sharp edge where the speaker connects to the body, but the big tips are too big for my ears, so either way they hurt. Unfortunately there's no like, standard for attachment size and I can't find anything telling me what size these specific ear buds need, and the attachment point is oval so I don't know what direction I would need to be measuring it from. So that's cool.

Did wake up in time to go shopping, unfortunately they did not have The Good soda deal, nor even the Kind Of Good soda deal, but they did have a 'buy two get one' so ash got me a couple cases and a case of something for himself. I also got needed foods, so I'm good for a bit.

I stayed up for a while doing not much and then I napped for another couple hours with Oz, which was nice. Last night I found a mod for Portal (and Portal 2) that ... "translates" all the signs and dialogue into Google Translate nonsense, so I played that for ash when I got up, and that was very fun. I'm going to play some of the Portal 2 one with him, too, but I don't think we'll want to do the whole thing

We watched Helluva Boss, which was good, and the new dropout show Nobody Asked, which, was a little rough. The premise as they're handling it is not doing it for me, but maybe other episodes will be better. And then we watched a Monster Factory and then ash went to bed.

Definitely going to be an early night for me so I can get through tomorrow without napping. I need to clean the kitchen counters and do Japanese study/skit writing, other than that I don't think I have plans or responsibilities. Might be walking somewhere with ash (just to walk, not to go somewhere) or starting to decorate for Christmas

What if I did Dark Souls runs with each of the starting classes

The Deprived run would uhhhhhh not be a good time but I mean I'd have nine other classes to get through before I'd have to worry about that
