Video games with the boys! We ended up playing Core Keeper, which Erika got for me so I could do so, which was very nice of her. It's a 2D-topdown-minecraft-esque crafting/exploration game. I don't think I'd be super into it playing it solo but it's very fun co-op-ing it with Erika and Dave! I am playing as a warlock and have a bat friend I can summon to protect me from cave monsters. We also have an egg we're waiting to hatch, and we found a cow we've kept trapped in a cavern until we've advanced enough in our crafting to be able to keep it as a pet. We have not done any bosses yet but we have found several of them.

I did wake up to the unfortunate news that Erika's dog, Baby, had had to be put down. I never met her, but she was as much a presence in our lives as Erika is, and it's both saddening for a beloved pet to be gone and saddening for a friend to have had to let that pet go. So I spent some time being around for Erika if she wanted to talk and coordinating with ash to get some soup delivered to her, and then I slept until the afternoon, and then there was game times with Erika both for game times with friends in-and-of-itself and also to help distract Erika and provide normalcy from grief. This obviously isn't really mine to talk about, but it feels cold to just pretend it didn't happen, so.

We should have invented pets that live as long as we do, already.

Anyway. I have a plan to internet less, which is that at midnight, video games are turned off and computer is disconnected from the wifi. I don't have to start going to bed then, but I do have to do things that aren't reading tumblr or whatever for hours if I do want to stay up. If I need to internet something, I can use my phone which is hopefully so awkward to use for any length of time that I just don't want to. We'll see how that goes!

Played a bit more Dark Souls -- I am in the crystal caves before the real Seath fight, and it is Frustrating, so I turned that off a while ago. Also been continuing a Jetlag binge, I jumped back to Crime Spree and now I'm onto season 4, though I think a new episode got published today so I should skip ahead to that before I have to turn my internet off. Tomorrow is the skit performance and then after class ash and I will hopefully be able to social for the evening! It's been a rough week so far of us just not having time together
