In other Very Exciting News: there's a torrent full of a bunch of linguistics resources that I've been trying to get for a long time, that's been dead also for a long time. Well, a few days ago there was someone seeding it! So I left it running since then and it's finally finished downloading today! I am going to have to make sure to let it seed myself periodically, but this is very exciting to actually have now!

Alright! I really need to switch to linguistics, but I've figured out how to do this. What am I going to do with that knowledge you ask? Don't worry about it.

Pretend it's still Friday
So ash and I were going to take the train to the little outdoor mall and arcade that Sor and I found while they were here last, to celebrate our anniversary (5 years since we officially put words to our relationship; actually on the 13th, but that's a weekday and the weekend following it is Sor visit and ash vacation out-of-house). However, as we were walking to the station I realised my legs were in a lot of pain, so we turned around to go back home, I took some painkillers, and we drove to the arcade instead. The painkillers did help and I didn't have any leg pain for the rest of the day, and we had a great time at the tiny arcade doing skeeball and air hockey and the Jurassic Park shooter that every arcade has. After that we did a loop around the mall and got cotton candy out of a machine that spins up cotton candy designs to-order, and by then ash was getting a headache so we headed home, with a stop at the grocery store on the way.
The rest of the day was a down day, though I still need to work on linguistics classwork. Will focus on that tomorrow.
I think I'm going to try to collect all the digimon vital bracelet cards! Since they've stopped making new ones, there's only 52 official cards in existence and that feels very achievable aside from the fact that some of them are going to be quite rare. But I think it could be fun to collect them! I just bought a few more tonight, so assuming all of the ones I'm still waiting to get delivered actually arrive and aren't shitty counterfeits (I'm probably okay with good counterfeits) (cross fingers, touch wood) then I have 35 left to collect. I will need to work out expanded storage.

Not a lot happening! I need to get ready for Sor visit this weekend, including getting ahead on classwork such that I won't have to do it while they're here. I also need to clean my room enough that they'll have space to put their luggage and get my sleep patterns under control enough that our schedules can align. I also need to cut my nails and shave (the sides of) my head.
Yesterday I was in enough pain, in my knee, that I couldn't stand for very long, so I spent pretty much all day in bed. Today I'm better -- I think it was because of how Oz has been sitting on my lap, has been putting weird pressure on my knee at a weird angle. I'll have to make sure that doesn't keep happening.
A couple of weeks ago I started using this app that helps track health stuff and predict flares &c via measuring your heart rate. They have a free version, but also sell an arm band that monitors your heart rate continuously, so I bought that and it arrived today. So far the free version has had some good data for me -- notably it warned me I would be having a higher risk of pain day the day we were going to take the train and I had to turn around and get some painkillers -- so I'm hopeful that this higher tech version will also have good data. Being able to better predict what I am capable of doing on a given day would be useful.
Tonight ash and I watched a Taskmaster and an Um Actually, and then Dave and I played Icarus for a few hours. I'm going to read some textbook and then go to bed.
