Re: Promiseland
I can either trigger random battles and probably lose or I can actively seek out children and definitely win, and I know which one I'm going with!

In a fun coincidence, the "twitter production" of Next to Normal puts Gabe's birthday on May 10
If he's 18 in 2009 though his birthday's on a Friday
he would be a taurus
Watched Taskmaster and a TomSka and then 999 2'd with ash, and now I should be gaming with Dave but I've bowed out for the night because my jaw has started bothering me. So I don't want to be talking for hours
I think I'll wreck myself with Fun Home instead
Cut into the grapevine a little bit to see if it was completely dead and I'm happy to report that it is not! Hopefully it wakes up soon and starts growing again, and hopefully it makes some good progress this year.
I keep forgetting that Rob Cantor is part of Tally Hall and then being surprised when I learn it again for the nth time
Pretty good day today! I spent much of the morning listening to music and poking at the Don't Worry About It writing project. I've also been reading Alison Bechdel's memoir about her mother, because I wanted to read some of her work and that was the easiest for me to immediately get my hands on. I'm not sure why I identify so much with her writing, but despite the details being very, very different I feel like we share a core of issues and experiences. Not like, entirely, but you know. Some.
I also took the bike out to the park and then (intentionally) got lost coming home. I hate how easy it is for me to lose my way in this part of town and have been trying to familiarise myself with the layout and streets when I can. Not really any luck yet but I'm sure I'll get there.
Gorgeous weather today, if a bit hot. Supposed to rain again next week, but hopefully there's a day in there that I can get to dad's.
ash and I watched a couple of Kipos and then played some more 999 2 -- we've gotten our first ending! It's a very character-centric ending and not super, like, enthralling if you aren't invested in those specific characters, but we also got a key to unlock a different story bit out of it.
Since ash went to bed I've been playing hidden object games and internet videos. Some Game Grumps, some Philosophy Tube. I'm going to poke more at writing here in a bit, I think. Read some more. I'm trying not to fuck up my sleep again, so far so good.
Oh yeah also some update or another replaced the program that changes my input method between English, Japanese and emoji with a different program that wasn't set up for Japanese and didn't have any way (that I could find) to get emoji input actually working, so I spent a good chunk of time dealing with that. First I tried just getting the new program working under the impression that that would be necessary, but I eventually just uninstalled it and reinstalled the program and configurations it had replaced. Super annoying and I don't know why it happened! Hope it doesn't do it again!
I'd really like firefox to stop enshittifying itself please
