I also need to go through the dictionary and make sure everything is still in alphabetical (to the keit alphabet) order

I had no idea so I looked it up and etymonline has this:

Meaning "easy college course" is student slang from 1916, probably from obsolete slang sense of "feast" (the connecting notion is "something that one can eat up").

I'm glad to see that when my students say they ate at something, they are using the slang of their forebears

Ironically the causative is going to be intransitive itself, so sentence structure is going to be something like

causative2 I it3 high3 cat
"Because of me, the cat is high", or: "I put the cat up high". "I did it: the cat is high up"

Attempted to re-hang the sun shade and it immediately fell down again, so that's a bust. Annoying! Not sure what I'm going to do about it long-term, probably get a couple big sheets from a thrift store and just hang those. Right now the shade is propped up sideways in front of my door so it's at least providing shade currently, but it's also making it difficult to get out there and is going to end up breaking if I leave it like that.

This construction opens up some other possible grammatical moods, like "able to do"

Incidentally we've hit the point where, no matter what happens from here, I'm passing this class

I can't believe I have to say this but I'm gonna need Alex Jones to stop orgasming on air

Three times now my mocking-infowars podcast has made me listen to that and that is four times too many

He's absolutely faking it but that he thinks that's appropriate in any way is not any better than him actually doing it

And not like 'he's making sounds that could be-' no, he says that's what's happening. For some reason he thinks that will make his point

Anyway if I can't stop Knowledge Fight from inflicting this on me I can at least spread the psychic damage around
