I did walking directions just because it gave the clearest view of where the package has been, I don't think they're actually walking it to me. Although the rate it's been going,,,

To be clear I wasn't going to try to make it to dad's if they had had a hex wrench, that was a 'then' sort of 'so', not a 'because' sort of 'so'

Also a chunk of Montana but I assume that's just because there's no people living there

I think I'm gonna end up just not doing last week's classwork. I've been chipping away at it but it's just not happening, and it was due an hour and a half ago
Instead of continuing to fight it I'm going to just go to bed so I can be awake at a decent time tomorrow. Maybe I'll try to work on it again and turn it in late but probably not. I do need to get my curtains hung back up before it gets too hot out -- I took them down to wash them, but I couldn't dry them in the dryer so they're hanging to dry overnight. I also need to get a thing recorded for ash asap

Woof! Satisfactory with Dave and I managed first to fall out of the world and leave my death crate at negative-a-thousand-something below sea level, making Dave exit out of the game and edit the location of my crate in a save editor, and then fell into a different hole which resulted in my death crate being inside a mountain, resulting in Dave building a pneumatic tube to shoot us into the mountain, which in turn resulted in both of us being stuck inside the mountain. An interesting game session
We also accomplished a fair amount and next week (if we play) our elevator should be -- hold on sorry why does firefox not accept "elevator" as a word what is going on there
Anyway we should be at phase 2, after the automation delivers another 400-or-so smart panels to the elevator for us.
Today was alright! I have spent most of it in some discomfort because my sternum needs to crack but has been refusing to do so, making any kind of rib or chest motion a little painful. But I watered and sprayed all my plants and took a walk around the pool. I have signed up for a penpals-matchmaking site and have been in communication with a couple of people and have gotten positive responses from both of them, so I also wrote a semi-lengthy reply to one of them. So that's exciting!
I practised at the thing I need to record for ash and tomorrow I will attempt to record it, all things going well. Soft deadline on that is Thursday, so tomorrow or the day after.
I think the cats are cold! It's 72 in here and 53 outside, but they've both been cuddled up against me all night; Cael just curled himself up in some blankets against my legs, moving himself further away from the open patio door. I suppose I should close up a bit for them, and also I should start heading bedwards because it became 1:30 AM while I was playing video games with Dave.

I am enjoying Graveyard Keeper, though there's a lot in it that is poorly explained, and it unfortunately has the worst fishing minigame I've ever played. The dev also seems weirdly defensive about it? Like shows up in threads with people complaining about it/asking for mods to make faces at them, which really turns me off. Maybe if you didn't want people complaining about the fishing minigame you shouldn't have made it such dogshit.
Like when the only way people are reliably able to play your fishing minigame is by exploiting a bug in the sprite animation loop1 maybe your minigame is just bad and you should have fixed it instead of getting upset at anyone who dares criticise it
Anyway I've been playing Graveyard Keeper again
19 times out of 10 the character's hands will skip a frame just before the bite window, which gives you a crucially humanly-possible-reaction-amount-of-time to react. It's also actually visible, unlike the tiny bobber in the water that will not give you enough time to react before you miss the window, even if you can see it

Yes I do still have opinions about trying to find a mod -- not even to remove the minigame, because I like fishing minigames! And I want to play it! But I want it to be possible to win at them! -- for the fishing minigame and finding the dev getting 'make your own game' levels of pissy about it
