Erika, Dave, and I have just finished a couple rounds of Jetlag Hide & Seek Across Tamriel! I think it went pretty well, Erika and Dave both had runs about an hour long, I'll get my run tomorrow. We did run into a small technical issue of the game trying to tell me where my group members were even though I politely asked it not to, so we'll see if we can get that fixed. I also think photo questions are too powerful in this game and after my run will suggest boosting the cost to two cards.
I do think calling it a 'medium' sized game is the right call and might adjust the interrogation page to allow some of the 'large' game questions
Anyway, it was fun and mostly worked! Hopefully we all want to do it again in future, potentially try it out in different games as well? I feel like different locations in ESO are a little too distinct for this, but maybe we'll see how it all works after Erika and Dave have had more runs to get used to the game mechanics and all the meta-level stuff

That's 'almost an hour' including their respective time bonuses -- a little over half an hour each without

It also might be worth nixing the rule that you have to hide near a road
Maybe even that you have to hide near a wayshrine? Worth thinking over

It got up to at least 106 today, possibly 107, and even with a fan pulling outside air in now at 3 AM it's still 80 in my room
Going to be a miserable night's sleep

Four hours later and it's still 78 in here

We were going to do my run in Hide & Seek at around 11 today but since I couldn't sleep more than two hours due to fuckin' hot in my room, and therefore was up anyway, we did it at around 8:20 instead. Of the three rounds I have thoroughly lost, mostly because Erika and Dave both drew a giant time bonus during their runs and I did not. I need to think of a way to incentivise the seekers to ask questions, because so far the strategy has been to ask for one or two pictures and a thermometer, and then just find the hider from that. Possibly pictures are outright too OP here and need to be removed from the game
I also think all numbers should treat the game as small but all large-game questions be allowed, which might require some tweaking of said large-game questions
Overall a pretty successful experiment, I think! We might play more later today if schedules align (I need to try to sleep again (see above), Erika needs to unpack more, and Dave has a trivia thing he does regularly) or I suppose we'll schedule a different day to play it again if they don't
I'm going to play a bit of non-jetlag ESO (I've jumped back into my necromancer) and then do the trying to sleep more thing

I also think card ratios need to be tweaked to increase the chances of a curse happening

I don't want to get rid of photo questions, because it is exciting and fun to be able to look at a picture and go 'oh I know where that is!' -- plus I always hate it when I'm good at something and then people like, treat me being good at it as a reason to make it less valuable or get rid of it, and this is a thing Erika is good at and I don't want to do that to her. So I want to start by raising the card cost for picture questions, and may tweak card costs in general before I try adjusting deck contents, because I want the hider to have many more opportunities to act than they've been getting
We are not going to end up playing more of it today, so any adjustments are going to have to wait. In the meantime today I am going to pill the cat and then try to get more sleep

lmao I wet my wrists to cool off and the water fucking immediately evaporated. It's not even as hot as it was yesterday yet
At least it's only 28% humidity outside. It's 38 inside, but, you know, could be a lot worse

Like I ran the tap over my wrists and by the time I'd walked back to my bed my wrists were dry
