So the Property Manager (not a grunt) came to inspect our house today and she arrived twenty minutes early and saw Erik leaving with Cael, so.

She also inspected The Entire property and we're in trouble for the state of the back yard, the property owner is in trouble for the lack of screens in the oven hood vent (apparently grease &c can accumulate up inside the hood where it can't be reached, and then it can catch fire and take the whole house down, so. Good to know! Would have been nice to have had those when we moved in), and the landscaping people are possibly in trouble for the broken sprinklers in the front yard

In general I don't think we're In Trouble in trouble but it goes to show you really can't get complacent about these things. Every other inspection here has been someone showing up, checking under the sinks, checking the fire alarms, and leaving. So long as the house wasn't filthy we were fine. I feel like this is an 'under new management' situation with the property managers getting a full inventory of stuff but I am worried we're getting ready to put the house up for rent or sale, especially with the focus on getting the back yard presentable

She was using an app to do the inspection so it could also just be that the app encourages a more thorough review than just doing it by rote. She took a lot of pictures of things

It's been a while since we've done anything out there, so its gotten kind of scraggly. It did get mowed before the inspection, thankfully, but there's grass growing up around the edges and fence and stuff, and the patio hasn't been swept in a while

It’s at the end of summer phase where stuff is overgrown and the patio/walks are dirty with grass and leaves and Ivy fur because it’s be approximately seven million degrees out, and I’ve been in migraine hell so no yard work is getting done.

(I’m mostly just irritated about this, not like. Worried. And it did push me to replace the string trimmer finally. I’ll get out there saturday and everything we need to do will get done in like 2 hours max)

I got Outer Wilds a while back when it was on sale and I'm finally getting around to playing it today. I've managed to avoid spoilers somehow and know basically nothing about this game except it's dystopian sci fi I think? I'm pretty excited to get to experience it blind even though it's been out for like a thousand years now

Also there's a new Silent Hill coming out tomorrow and I'm definitely getting it even though money remains tight. I dunno why I haven't heard anyone talking about that, I only know because it happened to come up on my steam front page when I went to the store to check something else. Pre-release reviews for it seem positive, though, and I think it's a Japanese studio that worked on it? It is set in Japan instead of Silent Hill, USA and I think it's also set in the past. Looking forward to it!

Unless I'm confusing it with Outer Worlds which like, understandable but still just means I don't know anything about it

I definitely did confuse Outer Wilds with Outer Worlds, but I'm having fun with it anyway
