Like no solo indie developer was ever able to make a game before LLMs

Like limitation isn't the mother of innovation

As though one of the most popular games in recent memory wasn't made specifically because the developer was unable to make characters that didn't look like dead-eyed animatronics

As though taking away opportunities for artists, musicians, voice actors to get their legs in the door is a good thing

What a selfish antisocial take and I hope everyone who believes it is in fact reduced to experiencing nothing but LLM slop for the rest of their lives, and also stubs every single one of their toes every single day

Slept all day except for the part in the afternoon where Oz woke me up every few minutes, but other than that it was great. I then played Smalland well into the night, building a little house for myself and catching up with Dave on crafting unlocks. I am very proud of the house but it needs more decor of kinds that either don't exist in the game (yet) or I haven't unlocked (...yet). The game also has a paintbrush tool that you can use to customise things! So that's very cool

I'm going to go to bed now instead of staying up all night and sleeping all day again -- ash is supposed to get home tomorrow, I think in the late afternoon or evening, and we will have much to catch up on including a Dragula and a Taskmaster

So I'm watching a series of Halloween Special shorts on youtube, which are in English but youtube has decided is actually in Dutch, and so youtube has helpfully used AI to translate and dub it ... into English

There's no way to tell youtube to not do this, I have to go into the settings of every single one of the videos and change the audio back to "Dutch". Terrible viewing experience, and the comments are full of people going 'I thought you used TTS or AI on this for some reason and was really confused'.

The creator doesn't even have an accent or anything, he's from Arizona

Migraine

But ash is home! He unfortunately injured himself and had to spend the evening staying off his feet, but we did watch the most recent Dragula and Taskmaster and a couple youtubes before he went to bed. And aside from that my day's been pretty uneventful. Slept a lot, despite Oz keeping me awake a bunch. Cael seems happy that ash is back and we're spending the evening in the living room again. I'm about to go out and make some waffle things if my head will let me

So when I came back into my bedroom earlier, I'd left ash's and my uneaten pizza slices on the counter, you know, because migraine. When I went back out there to get Oz's pill stuff I discovered that she had eaten all of the toppings off the pizzas. Hopefully it doesn't make her sick

I think I've mentioned but I've been meaning for a while to experiment with cooking a jam filling into pancakes and tonight I went ahead and did that. I think by the end of it I started getting a technique that could work but mostly really struggled with it, and it also made fewer pancakes that I'd expected based on previous experiments with that batter recipe -- I do not in fact have some extras to make breakfasts out of because I just ended up eating all of them as I was making them. Ah well

I have also finally gotten around to cleaning Cael's food storage box. Now I need to get Oz's done the next time she runs out of food

Migraine is a little better -- it got extremely bad there for a bit -- but still present. I want to watch the new drawfee, but I also want to listen to the Boulet Brothers' new podcast episode (the Dragula episode ash and I watched earlier, which the podcast episode is going to be about, was Wild) and between migraine and how late it's gotten I really should just pick one

Tomorrow I should shave, shower, work on homework, and help ash with whatever he wants or needs help with

no migraines.
