One of them came with a card holder and naturally I thought I could use that to hold my cards, but it turns out it only holds 5 of them. They really didn't expect people to actually collect these, I think; there's also not a particularly good official way to store the DIMs

Been struggling a bit with getting out of the house, lately, but today I walked to the store to pick up more baby food for Oz and a couple foods for myself. Unfortunately prices have gotten such that I could only get one baby food (I could have put back one of my foods, I suppose, but it makes more sense to just go out to the atm, put some of my savings into my debit account, and then go pick up a couple more jars of the baby food)

I decided to listen to some pimsleur lessons while I was walking, but when I tried to log in to my account on the app it wouldn't let me and kept telling me the password was wrong. I tried resetting the password and that didn't work, so I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and that also didn't work, so I contacted support who told me to uninstall/reinstall the app and change the password. I tried changing the password one more time and that did work so I guess I had to do it in that order?? Anyway I listened to three lessons on the way there, the way back, and then while sitting at home for a bit. I've jumped back to the beginning to refresh myself because it's been a while, so I'm able to speed through these early lessons pretty well

In a minute I'm gonna go empty the dishwasher (if there are dishes in it) and chop/cook an onion for dinner tonight, and then soon after that I'll be video games with Erika and Dave! More Phasmophobia most likely, that's what's on the docket. Maybe someday we'll be good at it!

The difficulty curve on it is very interesting, actually, because while you're given some basic information about the different ghosts you really do just have to experience them and learn what they're like to really be able to differentiate between them. Because we (well, Erika and I) haven't played a whole bunch, we're still basically just guessing. Unfortunately for me I have extremely bad pattern recognition, so I will probably never be good at the game, but so long as Erika and Dave are willing to carry me then I'm willing to tag along!

Alright gonna go chop an onion bye

Also I swear on the other digimon I've raised the next-stage digivolutions have been listed from least-to-most-difficult but these two I'm currently raising they're most-to-least-difficult, so apparently I'm going in that order

Bit of a rough day, just physically. Last night I was up late watching one of the digimon auctions, because it was going to end at 4 AM and if I was going to lose it I'd rather have known then than woken up to it, but I ended up winning it anyway so yay. Now I wait for them to get sent to the reshipper and then for them to get sent to me

But then this morning I woke up with a hand pain -- I think there's something dislocated in there but I haven't been able to get it to 'pop' so who knows. I've also got some other joint pains just because it was a little rainy today, after the sunny 80-degree weather we had yesterday.

ash and I did slightly more rearranging in the living room, which is to say he hung a shelf and we switched a couple lamps to accommodate the space the shelf was taking up. It looks nice, though the lamp by the shelf is still a little more forward than I'd like it so we're going to keep an eye out for a lampshade that'll let it be pushed back some, though we also like that lampshade so we'll need to find a smaller or more tapered shade that we also really like. And potentially find a lamp the old lampshade can go on that we can put somewhere

After that, and after dinner finished getting made, we watched this week's Dragula. It was good, though I continue to be baffled by how well Sigourney is doing -- her drag always looks the same! She never brings anything new! She does her thing really well but it's one thing! And I am tired of seeing it! I also was not super impressed with her lipsyncing in this week's challenge but maybe that's another instance of the edit (for television) giving a different impression than what the judges are seeing in-person (though I got the impression that the judges watched the lipsync this week after it was filmed and edited). That was an issue last week, apparently, is that one of the contestants got a very generous edit that made her performance look a lot better than it did in person, and so the audience was more favourable to that contestant and confused by her low placement. Narratively that's not great, but the performance as edited was very powerful and I'm glad she was able to be shown in her best light even if the judges didn't really get to see it

Then a Make Some Noise and then a few minutes of a youtube before ash went to bed. We've been playing through the Amanda the Adventurer series, I think I've talked a little about it but I played through all three of them recently and have middling opinions on it, but I am not actually much of a fan of creepypasta style horror and ash is, so I wanted to share it with him and he's enjoying it more than I did. We're into the 3rd and were going to play some more of it tonight but decided not to. So, tomorrow probably

Pretty soon after ash went to bed, I jumped in to Smalland with Dave. A lot of progress this week even though I got trapped in a couple places for the vast majority of our playtime. But we beat a couple bosses and progressed the plot a fair bit, and finally found some pyrite to unlock the next tier of Stuff. We also found a merchant with a bunch of decoration recipes and I just bought all of them before we finished playing for the night. Soon I'll have to jump in and take a look at what I unlocked with them, maybe there's some decor I can add to my house!

I needed to go get toothpaste today but obviously I did not, and I probably won't have time to go do it tomorrow either, so I've made a baking soda paste to brush my teeth with. I probably will go pick some up friday while I'm on my way to dad's, hopefully the weather isn't terrible

Class tomorrow, and I need to shower. And it's getting late now, so I'm going to eat some more dinner and then go to bed

Bit of a slow day, didn't get as much done as I wanted to. We're in another rainy kick with the weather, so.

Class was eh, very low-key honestly. We watched some videos demonstrating some grammar points and then we started chapter 16, did a few exercises. There were some technical difficulties at the beginning of class resulting in the professor having to restart the zoom meeting, and then her browser kept crashing while she was trying to show the videos. We had a breakout room that wasn't nearly long enough to have gone over all the problems we were supposed to have. There was an annoying bit where the professor asked me to explain ko-so-a-do words, which is a pattern for positional words where words for things close to the speaker start with 'ko' (kore, 'this'; kono, 'this thing'; koko, 'here'), things close to the listener start with 'so' (sore, sono, soko), and things far away start with 'a', and Problem Student (you remember him) jumped in to Um Actually with 'there are also other words in that pattern' like my dude you do not need to jump in with every synonym you know at every opportunity

Apparently the professor had surgery on Monday, is why we didn't have class then, and her eyes were swollen today. Hopefully she heals well and feels better next week

There are three pages of homework, a quiz, and -- my least favourite and I'd hoped we'd escaped it this semester, but I have to make flashcards and upload a picture of them all laid out.

After class, ash and I watched a Sandman -- we have I think four episodes left and it says a lot, I think, that it's taken us this long to get through it. My opinion on it honestly just keeps going down, all the stuff they did well isn't really sticking in my memory but the boredom sure is. After Sandman we played some more Amanda the Adventurer 3, I would say we're about halfway through the game

For the evening I have been watching Berm Peak videos and transferring music and image files from my phone to my dropbox to try to free up some space. I don't really listen to music uploaded to my phone anymore, I just listen to Pandora or the radio, and the music files take up a lot of memory, so I figure I'll toss it to make room. But obviously I don't want to lose the music entirely, even though I definitely have it all saved somewhere else. Best safe, you know. And I purge the photos off my phone semi-regularly, since they all get uploaded to verizon cloud so I can re-download them if needed. But, again, better back them up somewhere else too to be safe

I have had an idea of a thing I want to do, which is I want to livestream myself riding my bike on the parkway, and then sit somewhere and have lunch and chat with whoever is tuned in. I think that could be nice and a lot of fun, and it would be another excuse to get myself out of the house and on the bike. So today I also did a lot of research in to 'action cameras' and it happened that I found one that fit all my criteria on deep sale, so that should be here soon. I was going to wait to see if I could get a gopro on a black friday sale or something, or announce my intentions and needs somewhere where someone could turn it into a christmas present, but you know, deep sale. Also the adhd. Anyway, hopefully it actually does work for what I want to do

It has been raining All Day here, and since I was up so late last night I slept for a lot of the day. It was nice, listening to the rain and with a little sun coming in through my window without being All The Brightness

And then through the day, after waking up around 2, I have gotten a fair amount of things done! Both hobby things and responsibility things -- I have done some Japanese and Trunic study, and I've picked up all the empty cans in my room and took all the trash out, shaved and showered (despite Cold), and made some progress on cleaning all the dirty brushes and clayworking tools that have been hanging out next to my sink for ages. Oh, and cleaned the cats' water bowl and adjusted the frequency for that in my to-do list since it was getting grody but hadn't popped yet. If I do two more things on the list before bed, I will be at par

I want to push my sleep schedule back enough that I can leave my curtains open and let the sun wake me, see how early that ends up being. I think it might be doable as we go into winter, I know it's Much too early for me in summer. But it would be really nice to be able to wake up naturally and actually have time during the day to do things, since a lot of stuff I want to do I can't really do at night anymore, like go places or learn musical instruments. We'll see if my circadian rhythm allows this

Tomorrow I'm going to swing by the bank to put some of my savings in my debit account, take the train to the store to get some toothpaste, and then take the bus to dad's house. I have so far not heard anything about a movie or dinner, so I think I'm just going to be going over there and hanging out.

Okay, some more Oz data! I said before that she should be getting 200-250 kcal/day based on her ideal weight, though of course she would need more than that to get to her ideal weight

Since October 25th, her average intake per day is about 1.06 oz and approximately 198 kcal. However, since I started adding baby food to her meals twice a day a week ago, and not taking the baby food into account on the math, her intake is up to 1.29 oz/day and 242 kcal!! Hopefully hopefully hopefully she doesn't get tired of it and stop eating, and hopefully hopefully hopefully she starts putting on weight

(Also hopefully my math is at least mostly right, this is a lot of numbers to be dealing with)

I was gonna take a melatonin before bed tonight but I've been pretty tired all evening so I actually don't think I'm going to need to

Probably should have gone for the melatonin, I've been in bed for a couple hours and haven't been able to fall asleep. My head is too full

I have closed my curtains again so when I do fall asleep I'll be able to stay asleep until Cael wakes me up. We can try waking up earlier again a different night

Sitting here refreshing tracking every five minutes 😔

But actually I really do need to go to the store. I rainchecked visit with dad because it looked like it was going to rain all day; it has not, but I am glad I rainchecked anyway. But I do need to go to the store.

Ugggghhh.

Also in other news, my sister has strep throat now. She really cannot catch a break
