Last night when I went to bed, I discovered Oz had peed on a pillow, which was annoying but my bedding needs to get washed anyway so it wasn't actually a big deal. So today I have washed half my bedding, and I'll do the other half later tonight

I also have continued copying stuff off of the desktop. It turns out that the HDMI port on that computer isn't working, which is also annoying. I'm hopeful that it magically starts working again after I put a new OS on there, touch wood, cross fingers. If not, I'll have to try a different kind of cable to get two monitors going for it, which I would really really like to have again

I also will be very happy to not have to drag my laptop in there with me whenever I want to work in the office, it's a real pain in the butt.

I've continued poking at evennia and snowrpg, and my next (and first) concrete step will be to figure out how granular I want the map to be. And then to start building the rooms. There is a danger of ending up with a bunch of empty, purposeless rooms, but there's equally the problem of Snowtown feeling too small and everything too close together, if every part of it is a single room.

Tonight is one of those nights where Oz has but one desire in her little heart and it's to eat literally anything except her own food

And bedding washed and bed re-made. This is probably my least favourite chore, it takes so much time and energy, and I am sweaty and tired now. At least getting half of it done during the day means I'm not up all night doing it, again.

Last time I didn't bother actually making the bed, as in I didn't tuck anything in. But everything is all tucked in and made nice, this time, so there is that at least.

I'm going to sit for a bit and decide if I need to eat some more food, and then go the fuck to sleep

So last month, the landlords stopped paying the pool guy, again, and between the general unresponsiveness of landlords and the end-of-year holidays we didn't hear much back about it until last week, when the issue supposedly was resolved (landlord says they have an autopay set up for the pool services (weird that they have that for the pool but not the water utility) and the service increased in price but they neglected to update their autopay). However pool guy still hasn't shown up so, like. What's up with that if they've been paid now?

Meanwhile the pool hasn't been cleaned or treated for a month

My eye is bothering me (I think it's allergies) and I would not be surprised if I woke up with it inflamed again

Well I didn't then but I did today

Yeah, eye is definitely a little pink. Not as bad as it's been before, but definitely irritated

Weirdly it actually feels worse to cover it or keep it closed, so I guess I'll just sit in the dark until it feels better. Probably go back to sleep after Oz pill even though I want to be being productive, because historically after going back to sleep I'm fine when I wake up again

Tell Oz to stop farting on your pillow

Did go back to sleep and it did feel a bit better but still irritated. I'm wearing my migraine glasses in case they help but otherwise just dealing with hurting a little and being a little unfocused

Obviously going back to sleep ate up a chunk of my day, but I've gotten a little bit of a python lesson in, and ash wanted me to get some baked potatoes started for tonight's dinner. Unfortunately with the eye issues I can't be positive that what appear to be green spots on the potatoes are actually green spots and not just my color vision being off, but if they are green spots then I certainly don't want to be serving them to anyone, and damn near every potato in the bag either looks green to me, is too small to be a baked potato, or both

We have butt heads about green potatoes in the past and it always makes me feel bad. It is a shame it keeps being an issue -- food regulations, what?

Dave and I played another chunk of Palworld last night and got a lot done. Did some more main mission stuff, and a couple of sidequests, and I also caught my first human and a Kingpaca, which I love.

This is neither me nor my kingpaca but you get the picture. I love him.

I might fire it up solo later tonight because I want to get a better grasp on some of the gameplay and mechanics without relying on Dave to do the complicated/tedious things for me, but I'm torn because I also don't want to be experiencing new things outside of his and my game, and I certainly don't want to get all focused on a personal save and not feel like playing his.

ash should be getting home, soon, so I should go ahead and deconstruct my office for the night and get ready to hang out with him

It should probably be illegal to cover up use warnings with price tags

This thought brought to you by World Market covering up the 'hand wash only / not microwave safe' warnings on the cup ash got me with a price tag but I can imagine lots of things stores shouldn't be covering up with price tags and probably do
