I semi-recently had similar thoughts about OSC/Ender's Game, since Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow in particular were also very important books to me for a variety of reasons. Even before I knew I was gay, it was crushing to find out what a trashmunch the writer was.
Anyways, it prompted me to see what OSC is up to these days and I did get some joy out of seeing he has apparently been more or less blacklisted from the sci-fi community (in terms of their awards/conventions) and mostly writes weird niche Mormon religious fiction now. Like I just looked at his Twitter (which is his "official" Twitter but isn't even verified) and the most recent announcement about a book, posted Sep 1, has three reblogs and sixteen likes.
Doesn't change anything, but does feel a little nice.

Yeah, aside from the Ender's Game movie I do think he's largely faded from the public eye, and I feel like there's a solid chance if you bring him up in conversation someone will point out that he's an asshole, which is probably the best that can really be hoped for for this kind of thing. Maybe for him (or whichever Problematic Creator) to become more famous for being Problematic than for whatever they've written so when you search their name the first results are a big ol' warning sign; but that would require them to have done more and more direct harm, so maybe not.

I just checked and if I Google "JK Rowling" on my phone this is the third result, with the only results above being her wiki page and personal website --

So, she's unfortunately well on her way.

Yeah, Duck Duck Go also has a lot of results on the first page that range from a mild warning sign to a big ol' flashing billboard about her bullshit, which is good because she is really fucking vocal about said bullshit. Prime example of 'harmful enough to warrant a warning label, but that means she's doing a lot of harm'

Do people age in hell/limbo
Specifically do babies age in hell/limbo, or are they just babies forever

No Man's Sky loads so much faster now but also there are way more bugs

I don't know what they did or when they did it but it used to take ages to load up the game and now it only takes a minute or so. Same with portalling/warping anywhere

My impression is that the game would previously frontload everything at once in an area, making for really long load times, but now leaves some things to be loaded during play, which reduces load times but increases the chance for something to load in wrong

Dingdang tired today. I took a melatonin last night so I'd actually be able to get some sleep, since I was going to dad's today. That worked but then I ended up sleeping all day and really could have just kept doing that if I hadn't needed to get up to get ready to go.
Need to empty out a bin to take with me next time I go over to dad's, a bunch of stuff that needs to come back is just loose junk.
I've been planning for, months at least, to play Lone Survivor with Lee for Halloween, so we started doing that tonight. It's a great game, one of the best Silent Hill games that isn't actually a Silent Hill game. It's losing a little bit of its impact being played in a lit room with company and conversation happening during it, but it's still suspenseful and fun. A little annoyed at the resource management right now because I'm out of batteries and don't know where to find more, but we'll figure that out.
I'm going to zone out and do some more No Man's Sky before actually going to bed. I'm wrapping up my missions before finishing the last part of the main story, and have another wrecked ship I'm working on fixing up
