Wait apparently they have been updating one of the other parts of the shipment and not the master. So it was last scanned as in transit in New Mexico

I hate how big packages put my brain in Waiting Mode regardless of how long it will take them to arrive

Oz and Cael are honestly mostly getting along -- I will not go so far as to say they are friendly, but when Cael comes over to sleep on the alligator and Oz is already on it, 9 times out of 10 she doesn't get up and leave, now. Today she even tolerated Cael sniffing at and licking/lightly biting her tail and foot without hissing at him or pulling away! I think he does still chase her a little at night, but I don't think he's tackled her in a while (touch wood he continues in that vein)

Well, two of the packages still say 'shipment exception' and have an estimated delivery of today, but the one that's been getting scanned has arrived in Sacramento and has an updated estimated delivery of tomorrow

Bedstuff has arrived! Still a lot of cleaning to do, but I've propped the old bed up against the wall and cleaned enough floor for the futon. I did also sun the mattress, pillow, and comforter for an hour and 45 minutes each side, and put the covers on them when I brought them inside.

I am of course very sweaty now which is unfortunate.

Tomorrow I will do more room cleanup and wash the covers, and maybe I'll get a shower in there

Room is still in the process of getting cleaned, but here is bed! I put it together right before I went to sleep last night, and I dismantled it when I woke up this morning. I put cushions around it for the cats but they ended up spending most of the night sleeping on top of me. I did get up partway through the night to get one of my other pillows to put under the one I was sleeping on, and I have a tendency to shift down toward the foot of the bed in my sleep so I had to rearrange myself a couple times from that. The biggest issue though was that the covers were very pungent and the smell of them kept waking me up. They are in the wash now, so hopefully not a problem tonight

It will definitely take some getting used to, but I haven't woke up any more sore than I would expect after as physical a day as I had yesterday. I did get enough sleep. And the convenience of it is really, really nice.

Easy part done (sweeping the floor and throwing away all the trash)! Now the hard part (putting away everything that isn't trash)

But first I lay on the floor for a minute, which I have space to do now!

I'm going to take today easy and have a break from the major cleaning project(s) -- good day for it, as it's raining a bit. Last night, while I was watching Lee play video games, I saw some lightning outside that lit up half the sky but we couldn't hear any thunder. It was very neat and a little concerning, especially before we determined that it was lightning. Half an hour later we started hearing the thunder and shortly after that it started pouring.

Today has been very calm, though, just intermittent rain. Not even much wind

But yeah I may even pull the futon back out and take a little nap. For right now I'm just watching videos and reading a little Dorohedoro

As you can see in the photo, the alligator is on the dresser above the futon, but it's a little too wide for it. Well, the inevitable has happened..........
