They should invent a home you can go back to

Hm, threw up again

Have not given her a dose of the anti-emetic yet, I want to mix it into some food rather than force it

Went to dad's yesterday, as mentioned Lee gave me a ride. When I got there dad invited me out to lunch, so we went to the fish place and got fish and chips and talked. He is not doing well, his ankle/shin is still bad (infected? a rash? necrotising?) and his other ankle/shin is doing it now, as well. He has a doctor's appointment on Monday, I think it was, and may or may not bring it up and even if he does he may or may not use whatever treatment he's given for it -- he has a salve he was supposed to be using and hasn't been. He had a colonoscopy appointment that he cancelled because 'if there's something up there, I don't want to know about it'. He doesn't feel like he has a life, has basically no social circle, no hobbies. I wish I could do something for him.

When we got back to the house we watched The Incredibles 2 until Lee came to pick me up. I did not get the art I intended to come home with, there just didn't seem to be a good time to bring it up

I've felt generically bad, today; headache and upset stomach. Oz's dropoff on Monday is 7:50 AM, which is a little later than Lee can get there and also get to work on time, so I'm going to need to go with to potentially sit with Oz until her dropoff time and then make my way back to the house somehow. She needs to be fasting from 10:00 PM tomorrow night and no water that morning

Also in annoying vet news, apparently the two clinics have different pharmacy websites and I ordered from the wrong one, so I had to re-submit my order for Oz's prescriptions today

The above grid is an attempt at mapping out play areas for SnowRPG, that's what I've been doing all day is putting squares on a sheet. It's about the level of brain I have available to me right now

Sitting outside the vet's with Oz while we wait for her drop off time

A day! I was up at five-something taking Oz's water away, then getting read to go, and then taking Oz to the vet. We got there pretty early, so I sat outside with Oz in her carrier until a bit after they opened, then I went to sit inside until they took her back. And after they did I headed out to wander for eight hours!

See my options were to make my way back home, or hang out in the area until after Lee got off work, at which point he would come pick me up, and then the cat, and then we could all go home. I wasn't sure which way I'd want to go, so I prepared to be out all day just in case.

My first stop was the ATM to deposit some of the cash dad gave me -- I brought it with me to the vet just in case they wanted me to pay for the ultrasound at the dropoff instead of the pickup but thankfully they did not. Then I walked for half an hour ish to get to the Big Mall that's up there, and I was surprised to see it appears to be doing well! I didn't see any empty storefronts, though at the time I was there nothing but a couple food places were technically open -- the place was just full of elderly people doing a mall walk

I could have hung out longer to window shop some of the stores after they actually opened, but transit up there is not great so I wanted to catch a bus before I'd have to wait another couple hours to get the next one. Jake lives sort of up there and we haven't seen each other in years at this point, so I asked him last night if he wanted to meet up while I was in the area, and he said sure. So I took the bus, and then another bus, back down to Citrus Heights near his place, and we met up and got Carl's Jr for lunch. I got chicken tenders and they were each two inches long I am not exaggerating. Also they don't have honey mustard anymore

After we ate we went back to his place and hung out on the back porch for a couple hours. It was honestly not bad weather to be out in, super humid but the cloud cover kept the temperature down a little. So long as I was walking it felt alright, much better than actually being out in the sun. But still hot, so after a while we moved in to sitting in his room for a while while I (tried to) charged my phone, and I got to meet and pet his cat, Crook. Apparently this cat is usually very asocial and hisses at people but took an immediate liking to me, so I win at cats today

Unfortunately when I checked on my phone half an hour later it claimed to be charging but had in fact gone down in percentage since I'd started charging it, so that was annoying. Still, Jake had an errand to run so I couldn't hang around and try to charge it again, so I took my leave and found a park nearby I could wait at. I figured I shouldn't risk wandering around until 4 while my phone was dying

Shot a message off to Lee to let him know where I was and then I sat on a bench and played Tomodachi Life for a while. I got to watch some parents play with their kids, which was nice, they seemed like good parents. I also got to watch some dingus with an offleash dog try calling it and it ignore them, which is always fun.

About 40 minutes before Lee was due to pick me up I decided to take a lap around the park to see how long it would take me -- I would rather have been moving around to pass the time than sitting and waiting. The answer was 10-15 minutes, however partway through the second lap my shoe broke and I had to finish the walk with one shoe. So instead of walking around the park half-barefoot I sat near the entrance until 4:40 and then got up to stand near the entrance until Lee showed up

Off we went to pick up Oz! Lee had to go in to get her because of the shoe situation, and for whatever reason it took them like half an hour to actually release Oz into Lee's care despite me telling them multiple times we'd be there to pick her up around 5. They also, again even though I told them to multiple times, either didn't feed Oz all day or gave her food other than what I dropped her off with, and also she came home with a scratch on her face for some reason. Back at home she drank A Lot of water and then threw up, but that hasn't repeated itself and she's eaten some food. I figure that was more stress than anything, but I really would have liked it if she'd gotten to eat after the procedure instead of fasting from 10:00 PM last night to 6:00 PM today

They have sent the results of the test off to her primary care vet, so I will get to hear about it when I hear about it. This evening I am hanging out with Oz and playing video games and watching youtube.

Jake and I have plans to go to a drag brunch some time, and more immediately to play Valheim together this Wednesday. Also Dave and I are playing the Palworld update tomorrow and Erika, Dave, and I are playing probably Ale & Tavern on Thursday. Full week!

So I know enough python now that I can look at the evennia code and mostly understand what it's doing, but I couldn't come up with any of it myself
