Today the task generator generated purposeful travel, and I've been putting off getting groceries, so I did that. It's pretty warm today, so it was a mostly nice walk, though me legs are still recovering from the adventure on Saturday, so it was also a little rough

They had my cereal at the store, though! It hasn't been in stock the past few times I've gone, so that's very nice to get it again. Also some very nice sales, so it was less of a hit to my wallet than it could have been. I have food now, and I also got some green onions and sweet peppers so I can nice up some ramen later

On the way home, a guy stopped me to ask if I had a dollar to spare, so I gave him a couple bucks, and then he asked to see my ring, which was a little weird, but he looked at it and then thanked me and walked away, so. I then found a d6 on the street, and then I got lost

I don't know what it is about our neighbourhood -- I generally have a very good sense of direction, but somehow I am constantly getting lost and turned around when I try to walk on the streets around our house. But I didn't get too badly lost, so it also didn't take me too much time to get home.

Groceries are put away, now, and I'm going to eat an orange before I jump in the shower. They're turning our water off for much of tomorrow to do some pipe repair and/or upgrades on the street, so I want to get clean today so I don't need to worry about it during that. And then I will be done with standing for the day

The generated reward for being productive is to watch a movie, so I'm gonna finally watch the last Lord of the Rings

The transformation sequence for Smeagol did not age as well as the effects for Gollum

Treebeard also looks extremely like a PS2 character

Oh hey it's the part where Christopher Lee got to demonstrate what sound a person makes when they get stabbed in the back

I might need to put headphones on for this, the sound balance is awful

I continue to not care about any of Aragorn's relationships except with his horse

I'm really enjoying Merry and Pippin in this one, and the tension around the Frodo/Sam/Gollum plot is very good

Continue to not dig the dwarves-as-comic-relief/superhero-legolas stuff

Also this bit with the Sam-Raimi-esque horror slow-mo is great
