Re: Promiseland
So this was a thing to let me hook up a hose while the showerhead was still attached, and as stated it won't work, but the part I got to hook the hose itself up arrived and does work! So I can run a hose from the shower to the inflatable bathtub and take a bath!
It's still a pain in the ass to empty the tub and put it away, but whatever. Also a cat somehow peed into the bag the tub was in at some point? No idea how but now I need to wash that bag

Just accused ash of ovulating because he's cleaning the house and I think he was super impressed by my knowledge of anatomies

Spoilers for the Escape the Greenroom episode of Game Changer
So in the episode is a sequence where Sam, the host, goes from being on a live feed on a television to being locked in a bathroom accessed through the room the players are locked in, the change-point happening while the players have briefly left the room to investigate a new space that just opened up for them. And so obviously he just snuck into the bathroom while the players were in the new space. But there are so many fans for whom this is just, impossible to accept. "What if a player hadn't gone into the new area? What if they came out while Sam was sneaking through to the bathroom? What if something had gone wrong??"
I'm not saying anything because it's impossible for me to do so without being mean but how are y'all this risk-averse? Like, to start with it's a TV-show and if something had gone slightly wrong they'd have edited it, like they did with the things that went wrong which we saw them editing in the behind-the-scenes footage, but also -- what if they hadn't been able to solve one of the puzzles? What if something other than Sam's switch-a-roo had gone wrong? There are inherent risks with this kind of show, that's part of what makes it fun, and Sam would have accepted, as a magician, that the slight risk of someone seeing through his illusion was worth the payoff of it going right. The idea that after five seasons of running a game show and I-don't-know-how-long of running a channel, that he wouldn't be willing to do anything at all that carried the tiniest risk of something going wrong is absurd. Get out more, my dudes.
Anyway every day there are dozens of people demanding to know how he did it (and people insisting that it makes more sense for him to somehow get into the bathroom through a tiny window on the second floor of a building even after being told outright by someone working on the show that he just went in while everyone was distracted) and it's driving me! A little nuts!

I got into the Dark Tower series shortly before Wolves of the Calla was published, for example, when the previous book had come out six years before that.
I caught up on Silt Verses yesterday (season finale aired four months ago), and today the Q&A dropped

Re: Promiseland
A tarot deck I backed on kickstarter arrived a couple days ago, and I have fallen in love with it.
The art is so good! I've read with it a few times, now, once for ash, and I'm finding that it creates very like, cohesive spreads. I'm finding that the cards come together easily, for me. The symbolism of a lot of them I don't quite get, yet, but the booklet is very succinct, which I like. Definitely my new favourite
