And! I've bought the steamdeck (and spent some extra for the dock)! Excited for it to get here, anxious that I have fucked something up somewhere and couldn't actually afford it after all. There is no reason to think that, but brains are going to brain
Once that's all here and set up, I can officially move the computer into the office and maybe use it to do productive things? This is the hope. I do need to decide if I'm going to try to upgrade it from windows 7 or just keep using that, but without having to worry about steam/game compatibility anymore that's less of a thing. (Steam is going to end support for windows 7 in less than a year; the community is half up in arms about this and half up in arms about windows 7 users, as usual. Do not ever go into a steam forum and ask for confirmation that something will work with windows 7. Do not ever go into a steam forum period, actually.)
In more adultier purchases than a game console, I also finally gave up on finding the power cord for my hand vacuum and ordered a replacement. So that will also be nice to have again
