When I have the spare funds again, I'm thinking about getting a second dock to hook up to the living room TV, to make it easy to play games out there, too, without having to move the dock around. Moving the dock would actually not be that big of a hassle, but it would be so much nicer to just bring the deck out there and not have to plug anything in

Very future! Very modern! Very wow!

It's also not that big of a hassle for ash to come into my room to play/watch video games of an evening, but as we get into summer that will be less appealing, and also sometimes you just wanna do stuff while sitting on a couch or whatever, you know?

Anyway, yeah. All of my money will be spoken of for a while, but when it isn't, that would be a nice purchase. It's not, like, a huge expense, but it isn't cheap neither. There are knock-off docks, too, that I haven't priced at all but are definitely cheaper, but also I don't know how much I trust them, honestly. I don't want to hook my fancy and very expensive toy up to something that's going to fry the battery or something, you know

Today is a very 'going through the motions' sort of day. I've done breakfast/podcast, I've done a walk, I did morning ablutions, I'm sitting in front of the computer in the office right now, but I'm not really awake and I have accomplished very little.

That'll happen, just gotta get through it. I do am increasing the time spent in here a little today, maybe to an hour and a half, maybe to two hours. Not sure

Loki has acclimated fairly well to my presence, but he already liked me and was just a little weirded out by the change. He's always run away when I remove the cover from the chair in here, because it's loud and a big movement, but today he didn't! So that's nice. He napped in here for a while and now he's wandering

Oz also asked to come out of my room almost immediately, so she's getting some idea of how things are working, too. She didn't come into the office, just explored the house a little and then went back into the bedroom while Erik was walking back and forth with laundry things.

Anyway! Gonna stare at adobe premiere for a while, and maybe even actually edit some video

Did manage some video editing! And then I did a little research and testing for recording footage from the deck, which turned out well! I want to get more storage for it before I start messing with such things in earnest, but it seems capable of recording gameplay at a pretty reasonable quality, hopefully it can also do that while doing online co-op. We'll find out!

Here's today's preview

Instead of walking around the pool today, I walked to the store and bought some groceries! I am now broke but hopefully will have enough to eat until I'm not broke anymore. I've been doing my physical therapy exercises religiously and that combined with the longer walk now means my legs are Very Tired. Gotta keep it up though!

Anyway, as evidenced by the clip above, I'm now in the guest room and doing more video editing. I currently have 18 minutes of edited clips, and many hours to still go through, and then after that will be clean-up and make-nice stuff. With previous videos I've split it into a new project after a good length, and I will probably do that again -- and, I guess when I look at it that way I'm pretty close to being done with the first one! 18 minutes is a respectable youtube length. That said, I also might keep going so I can rearrange the clips a bit better. We'll see

I also at some point when these are done, make a compilation of clips that are especially representative of Dave and I -- all the 'oh you motherfucker' kind of clips, and failing spectacularly at solving puzzles, and so on

But for now I'm gonna get back to it

Okay! Time for video games and chilling. Unfortunately, last night I hit endgame on Arcade Paradise, and also unfortunately the endgame is not engaging enough for me to keep playing it. I took a peek at the remaining achievements, went nope, not gonna get all of those, and uninstalled it. So, now I need to find something else to play for a while

I fired up viscera cleanup detail, but I'm not quite feeling it. I'll take a scroll through my library and see if there's anything that looks promising

Oh Good Life is working on steamdeck! I wasn't able to play that when I got it because it didn't run on Windows 7 machines, so this'll be a good choice

That is basically exactly what it is, if Snowtown Leon also got jobs on like, space stations that have been ravaged by alien monsters

It actually -- I don't know how much you remember about (or knew about to begin with) Paranoia, but it's very Paranoia in tone and content. It's like you're one of the janitorial grunts that come in after the Troubleshooters have all gotten themselves killed, and clean up the resultant mess
