Sevaufein got the high level cleric ability to conjure a feast for everyone and the buff it gives is amazing, but
did they HAVE to call it that

also I love that they invested in actor motion cap for the NPCs because it gives you delightful little details like Astarion putting his hands on his hips in the most homosexual way possible
Weekend is progressing!
I'm up at a weird time because I didn't sleep well, so I woke up at about 3:00 AM pretty wide awake. Rather than lay in bed and suffer about it I got up, puttered around a bit, and now I think I'm going to try and lay back down. If all else fails I'll wait til the sun starts to come up, take Baby Dog to the dog beach, then go ahead and get groceries and probably take a nap after that. I don't work today so I'm not too worried about it, thankfully.
Aside from that, good weekend so far! Sophie and I are working on a project together and that's been very fun and sapphic of us. I'll go into details later, maybe; it's not top secret, I am just not in the mood to describe things. I've been playing some video games, also, and generally working on chores and tasks. Nothing major to report, just chuggin' along and doing, for the most part, pretty alright. I have some stuff I need to focus on (still trying to get better about writing regularly @_@ I've definitely been in the pattern of doing good about it for a week or so then falling off for like, a month, and even I'm exhausted of me doing that), but generally am feeling better and slightly less exhausted at all times.
oh I should probably shave my undercut today bcuz I'm getting a bit skrunkly, lemme go add that to the to-do list
hm I should probably stop embedding tweets because there is a 100% chance the Twitter/X naming change will break all of the links eventually
I appreciate that Larian's writing team isn't afraid to be like "no sometimes catharsis is violence"
Sometimes in storytelling I think writers can get a little too tidy with their morality, if that makes sense? I chose Astarion's "good" ending, where you have him break the cycle of abuse, but in this case it means literally murdering his abuser in a very violent way. It was well-written (and well-acted; I find Astarion's voice actor a bit insufferable as an internet personality but the man can act) and complex, emotionally, but most of all it felt good.
Astarion needed to personally and up close know that this man could never hurt him again. Sansa Stark needed to have Ramsay Bolton torn apart by his own dogs. Sweeney Todd needed to throw Mrs. Lovett into that oven. Are these all good people making perfect decisions? Fuck no! They don't have to be. In Sweeney's case it's not even catharsis that he deserves (and he gets his own comeuppance shortly after), but it's a great and emotional moment.
anyways speaking of Sansa I just watched that scene again and despite that show's many and well-documented flaws, it is forever a Game of Thrones moment that will absolutely whip ass
The lil smile as she walks away is just, chef's kiss
