I'm just gonna answer 'em all for Sevaufein because I had a long goddamn day at work and want to spin a blorbo to decompress before I go to bed

yes, like......... all of them

Positive = his cousin Calliope (Sophie's OC!), who is the first person that treated him kindly for the sake of it

Negative = Mother Matron, we hate her

difficult is an understatement

6) Would they rather surround themselves with people or be alone?

He is more comfortable alone but I think increasingly finds that it's pleasant to be around people; he is never going to be Good at Social, but once he realizes not every other person wants to actively murder him he's like oh, it's kinda nice for them to sit there while I sit here. Big fan of parallel play, basically

Poorly

I've had a lot of heavy cases (lot of pediatric deaths) this week and a higher caseload than normal, so I am glad today is my Friday. I also have absolutely zero brain and have decided to embrace the disassociation and--

god, no

Sev definitely asks Astarion to help him learn to speak to people better, because at best he is awkward but usually he is just mean even if he doesn't intend it

high

15) How do they view themselves versus how others view them?
Sevaufein was thoroughly raised and indoctrinated to believe he's kind of generally repulsive/weak/an abomination, and subsequently prefers to keep people at a distance for his and their own mutual good

Most people think he is either intimidating (he's rather large and scary-looking) or an arrogant ass or both and they're not entirely wrong tbh

I think that has satisfied my current need to talk about my blorbo, lemme go do some chores and try to wake up before I go to work again

I've actually been doing a good bit of creativework recently, which has been nice. I drew this!

It could probably use a bit more fine-tuning but I decided to call it done enough. It's Sevaufein and the Mother Matron of his temple; that's supposed to be the Menzo "skyline" in the background (what do you call an underground equivalent of a skyline???) and it ended up a bit cartoonish but I think it gets the point across. I'm happy with it! I need to learn how to fully render things a bit better but I've definitely improved since I started drawing again at the beginning of this year. Sometime near the end of December I'll do a comparison, maybe.

I've been working on some other art, too, and writing. I'm still trying to push myself to finish my novel project this year, we'll see how that goes. Writing a whole novel when you work 40 hrs/wk as a first responder is a tall order, especially when I have to balance my creative brain time with other stuff I want to work on.

Okay I guess that's it for now, it's time for me to do chores and exercise before work. I'm doing good, though! A little sluggish from the weather changing, but I'm generally happy and creating and doing my thing.

edit: I felt like this post was too unfairly salty so I am editing it to make an even more niche complaint

Which is, I try to keep a reasonable exercise schedule (reasonable for me, specifically), and I do often like to do workout videos from YouTube and the like. It helps me to have a visual guide so I can No Thoughts while I just do what the stickman say do, yanno? Lift this, stand here, do that. I make my own workout plans sometimes but especially in a pinch I turn to the internet to do the thinking for me.

But goddamn these fitness influencers love to be on the floor all the time

You can do abs and core without doing eight thousand crunches on the ground! Planks are boring and stupid and I refuse to do them! You can do so many bench press variations without jamming your shoulder blades into a yoga mat! I want to move and not have back pain, GET OFF THE FLOOR

Anyways that's my spicy opinion today and why I looked up "abs no floor" in a huff earlier

I!

cleaned up some of my bachelor mess (I won't lie I leave coats and hoodies everywhere this time of year)
vacuumed the floors really well
refreshed some bedding (mine and Baby Dog's)
dusted off the main surfaces I use
got the stuff out to finish my painting project I've had half-done for ages
cleaned out the fridge
got groceries (actual groceries!! the state of my food brain means I've been doing the thing where like every other day I walk to the store and grab one or two things which is not efficient and annoys me over time)
made a food I can eat today/tomorrow for work and probs some this weekend too

and now I'm sitting and watching the new Evan & Katelyn while I drink some water and chill before it's time to walk Baby Dog and go to work

Weekend Erika had better appreciate my sacrifices today

Weekend is happening!

I did laundry (still needs to be put away, but that's a problem for Later Erika) and got some tidying done. Aside from that I've played video games and chilled and done some creative work and had a jolly good time. Right now I'm D&Ding, then after that I will continue to do more restful weekend things. Tomorrow will likely be more of the same, although I have a few specific things I want to get done.

Weekend was good!

As usual I wish it was longer (my ideal capitalism situation would be having a four day workweek but I am aware this will never happen in my lifetime, especially as a government employee) but I had a good D&D (we ended up transitioning into a chase sequence where Rex's wild magic accidentally summoned a unicorn), got some backed-up grown-up tasks done, and I also finished out Shadowbringers in bungame. Silas did many sufferings, so he got to hug his boyfriend after as a treat.

The Long Dark has begun in earnest, which I am less than thrilled about (last night I had the dreaded experience of "oh it must be really late, it's super dark outsi--ah, it is barely 6 PM, cool"). Thankfully the temperatures are still in the 40s/50s and haven't ducked lower than that, though.

Okay, lemme go exercise, trim Baby Dog's nails, and then I do have two (kinda one? but two,) book reviews to catch up on.
