Did some yardwork - I don't know if I'm more awake, but I am sweaty now
The trees in my patio space have been a little out of control this season, so I did some trimming on all of that, and of course I watered today's plants. Should have lunch now before I do anything else
Alright, ash's keyboard parts arrived today after a brief detour to the meat store ("For some reason the payment processor kept setting his shipping address to a butcher we bought meat from once and despite changing it multiple times it apparently changed it back when processing the info, So the keyboard got delivered to a butcher", to quote me-in-chat) which means I can start putting that together for him. I don't know if I'll get to that tonight, I don't want to futz with it while tired or spacey, but we'll see how I feel after getting some more homework done.
We do not have keycaps for it yet, but if those don't arrive soon I can throw some spares on it so ash can see how he likes the whole thing
Today we watched Dungeon Meshi! It was a very good episode, a chapter of the manga that I've been looking forward to seeing, very fun to see it in the animation. Then we watched a couple behind-the-scenes Game Changer episodes and then some random youtube. Now I'm going to hang out for a little bit, then work on homework, then either work on the keyboard or play video games until bed. Bed will probably be a bit early, or at least not late tonight.
Tomorrow I can register for fall classes! Or, class. I can register for fall class, and need to remember to do it. There's also that quiz. But aside from that (and finishing homework) I don't think I have anything else going on

Meanwhile though the PS4 is refusing to read the Elden Ring disk and of course I need the disk to play the game that's fully installed on the console, so I can't play it until I get that fixed. Sony's troubleshooting site recommended 'rebuilding the database' so I'm doing that, now, and I feel like I've done this for this problem before. So hopefully it fixes it
Okay, since I didn't get stuff done yesterday, today is naturally a bit full, so I should get going. I got to sleep at a pretty reasonable time last night but I still slept in until like 12:30 (and then spent an hour catching up on the internet)
Going to eat a breakfast, review textbook chapter 4, and take the quiz. I did sign up for Japan 402 for the fall semester (I think! School websites are so confusing), and I got my finals schedule this morning -- my final should be Monday, the 13th, at 12:45
I think possibly my enrollment period hasn't actually started (my homepage still says "You may begin enrolling for Fall 2024 on 3 May 2024 at ." so it might have a time that isn't displaying, and hasn't happened yet). My class is in my "shopping cart" which I can't find any way to "purchase" and isn't explained in any of the help files, but it seems likely that it may be a, like, place to hold my selections until I'm allowed to enroll? I'll keep checking through the day and see if anything changes
Yep, an 'enroll' button appeared in the shopping cart at 2, so now I'm actually enrolled. It's a good thing I kept messing with it

Alright, did a search for online courses to take this summer and found "Invitation to The Tale of Genji: The Foundational Elements of Japanese Culture" on edX, which sounds close to what I'm looking for. It unfortunately starts today, but I'm not going to be taking it too super seriously as a class. It's four weeks, so if I'm up for it I can maybe look for another class archive to take after it's done
