I have tried drawing cool air in, I have tried pushing warm air out, nothing changes, and I can't exactly leave my door (to outside) wide open while I'm asleep, so.

I really just need better fans for the job, probably, but that's not a decision you make in the middle of summer

So while it's been cooling off outside, at night, I can't for the life of me get it to actually cool off in my room.

Is the rest of the house cooler? sleeping in 80F+ is a no thanks from me, I do not envy you

(I'm not offering any advice because you clearly are way more adept at troubleshooting The Warms than me, I'm just curious because when I lived in Bad House the air conditioning was always kind of a nightmare but there was one room that was always absurdly hotter than the rest of the house, which didn't seem to have anything to do with windows/being sun-facing, and which I could never quite alleviate with fans)

Yeah, my room gets Much warmer than the rest of the house due to the layout of rooms and how much direct sun my walls get

A frustrating morning. Or, afternoon, I suppose -- I got set up to do the recording and of course it still wasn't working! I don't know what the issue is or what's changed but if audacity is recording then discord (and craig) won't get audio, even through different mics, and if discord is getting input then audacity throws an error at me. I've previously been able to trick it by setting the mic to 'default' and then having one taking 'default' input and the other taking the same mic but as a manually-set input, and eventually that did work again but not until after everyone had called off the recording session and wandered off to do other things. So that got cancelled.

I google the error and get people being like 'well of course audacity can't use the mic if a different program is using it' and it's like, no? Not of course, other people do this fine and it's worked fine before, so why can't it now? Anyway I've downloaded ocenaudio to try recording with, instead of audacity, and a brief test has had it able to receive input while in a discord call, so. Hopefully! This doesn't happen again!

We're very close to just being done with arcadia entirely and then I don't have to worry about this sort of thing again, and I'd like the process up until then to please go smoothly.

Anyway. Did a date with Sor and we did indeed watch the season finale of Dungeon Meshi, now we just have to wait for season 2 (aka cour 3 and 4) to be made. Next week Sor is disappearing off to camp so we won't be dating for at least a couple weeks, possibly more depending on their ability to video chat/stream shows while in the woods.

Garbage truck woke me up too early so I'm a little braindead today but it's whatever. I could definitely nap but I'm not gonna. Just gonna chill out until after ash's therapy and then we'll hang for a while and play a video game

I really often get a whim to make whipped cream when it's too humid to be able to successfully hand-whip it. Tonight is not one of those nights! Hand-whipped whipped cream!

Last night Oz peed on some blankets -- my fault, I'd been putting off cleaning the litterboxes -- so today I got those thrown in the wash and cleaned said litterboxes, despite being in many joints pain. So after blankets come out of laundry and I get them put away, I am not doing anything else today. Aside from walking with ash this evening, of course

We went for a walk around the block -- it was mid-nineties at the time but despite that felt pretty nice, especially in the shade, which we mostly stayed in. When we got home, ash got in the pool and I sat on the edge with my legs dangling in the water, and smoked some weed. We chatted for a while and then both just hung out in silence, and when the sun started to burn the back of my neck I laid down in the shade and watched the sky for about ten minutes.

Then we both went back inside, ate dinner, watched some drawfee and let's game it out and game grumps and a very important people, and went to bed. On my own I have been watching youtube and playing a little video games and reading some linguistics stuff, and watched The Grammar of Happiness which is a documentary about Daniel Everett and the Pirahã. I've shut most everything down, now, and am going to read a little more before I get into bed

Oz threw up while we were on our walk, like actual vomit throw-up and not hairball or bile throw-up, so I'm a little worried about her but she's kept all her food down since, so. Going to continue to keep an eye on her and pray we don't have to take her to the vet (cross fingers and touch wood).

Anyway, bed things. Overall a very nice evening, 10/10 do recommend
