I've also cancelled the visible sub for now because I don't feel like I'm getting the value out of it that it costs at the moment

Done with classwork for this week. It was difficult, I had to compare an article from a men's and a women's magazine or blog or comic or etc (or a men's or women's magazine with a nonbinary magazine, blog, comic, etc, etc) and write up my conclusions about the gendered language/marketing used in it.

All I have left in the class are two more discussion boards, a media response, a quiz, and the final exam.

ぼうけんか • (bōkenka) is apparently my new name (which Wiktionary suggests is Japanese for "adventurer". I'm actually pretty down with that, except that I can't pronounce it and it feels a bit weird for me to take on a random word in a language I don't otherwise speak)
