Normally I am a much sturdier person but 34 years of doing everything the hard way has caught up with me and I have the resilience of a wet cardboard box rn

I started a new book and only got 7% before realizing it is a story about domestic violence, which was not at all clear from the description, so that's going in did-not-finish

Looking at the Goodreads description I think I just didn't fully read into the husband being described as "controlling" and it's probably a fine book but for, you know, Some Reason, I do not want to read about intimate partner violence right the now

Finally got some sleep, although it was split in two. I got an OTC sleep aid med but last night while I was hanging in chat and decompressing (I ended my week with a late baby case so I worked almost a 12 hr shift and my empathy was exhausted) I had a whiskeydrank, and I didn't want to take a sleep aid after consuming alcohol, so I went to bed normal style. I once more woke up at around 2 AM, but by then it had been quite a few hours since my whiskeydrank, so I took the sleep aid med and waited for that and/or the placebo effect to kick in and managed to stay sleeping until around 7:30 this morning.

I'm sluggish but feel rested, I think, and am definitely going to take it easy today.

That's my bathroom, when Sophie still lived here, and what she doesn't mention is that because of the humidity in the bathroom after showers and such the colorful film constantly fell off and eventually I just took it down entirely. The electrical tape, not a tape meant to be on GLASS, left residue that is still there---
