Obviously a lot of our problems would be solved by having almost any other voting system than the one we have but that's never gonna happen, so

Just give me the -1 vote

Just went through and reviewed my monthly budget -- between paying off the futon and Oz's increased needs, things are very tight. But part of that is that I've given some things explicit room in the budget instead of dumping them in the personal expenses category, like the alluded-to cat supplies. I also have enough room to get a small Imperfect Foods delivery every week, so that will largely cover snacks

But I was worried that I was actually going over budget, and I am not! I'm like, almost exactly at budget, which is uncomfortable but what can you do.

Played some Palworld with Dave tonight after dinner, went through every field boss and bounty on the map that was my level or lower and beat them, so that was a fun accomplishment. Near the end of the night we were going to try fighting the next boss-boss but then the connection to his game died and I got kicked out of the server, and we decided to just wrap it up there

Tomorrow we will play again on our normal games day, so we can try beating Saya again then. We will probably lose because the internet recommends level 55, and he's just reached that and I'm still level 50, but maybe!

I also refuse to make a pal team with type advantage against this boss because it's the same type as the last boss and for fuck's sake I don't want to be stuck with the same team of pals I don't care about for a million years. My pals will be strong enough to beat this boss without type advantage!!

Also got some chores done today, mostly cat-focused. Cleaned litterboxes, cleaned food bowls. Showered. Spent the day pretty braindead because Cael woke me up a bit early eating Oz's food

Tomorrow I need to clean the pancake machine and clean out Oz's old raw food from the garage freezer. I am conflicted about this, there's a part of me that still really wants to get her back on raw. I cannot afford it and I do not trust raw meat to be safe right now, but. She was doing really well on it until the fridge broke and the meat started going bad. We didn't know that's what was happening and thought she was just refusing it like her other foods, but what if it could have fixed her problems. What if it could have helped her gain weight and put muscle back on. What if I got her back on raw and she was excited to eat again. What if she got healthy enough to live a few more years.

But, I can't afford it. And I don't want to risk poisoning her or getting her sick. But what if.

I do really wish I knew how to actually help her.

Last Saturday we had breakfast dinner, scrambled eggs, bacon, and a pancake mix I got from the imperfect foods box that I wanted to make with Lee and make him try -- ube mochi pancakes. They were good, had a chewy sort of mochi-like texture in the middle that went well with how the outsides crisped up. I can't say it tasted particularly different from any other pancake, but they were purple and edible. I think they'd go well with a fruit syrup, but that night we had them with powdered sugar. Also I used the unicorn waffle pattern to make them.

Alright. Up late again, should go to sleep.

Cael's been showing some interest in Oz's wet food lately -- I'd given him some to try previously when I started giving it to her to help prevent jealousy problems but he didn't really want to eat any of it. But I gave him some today and he ate it, and then proceeded to throw it up about three minutes later. So. No more of that I think!

It was the seabass specifically, I don't know if I'm willing to try some of the other flavours. It's strange, he does specifically very well on grocery-store caliber catfoods (I have him on Meow Mix and previously he was on Purina's kitten food) and has done very badly on any high-quality grain-free foods. Meanwhile Oz has always thrown up when on non-grain-free foods

Wild how different even cats' guts can be
