Woo I've been issued a student transit pass for the rest of the year

Also they've finally removed the 'Fill out this form about your dependents to receive the Students With Dependents Grant' from my to-do widget which I have been trying for years now to indicate does not apply to me

The outdoor clothes drying rack finally arrived yesterday, so today I have been doing laundry! I used it to sun the futon while all the covers were in the wash, and it worked but I think I will not do that again because it felt more precarious than I'd like. That was a big reason why I wanted to get it, so I am a little annoyed about that, but I will continue looking for a different solution. The patio lounger might be a good option, to be honest.

Anyway, in seven minutes I will go hang the currently-washing laundry on it, and another good chunk of why I wanted to get it was so I could stop hanging the blanket and futon covers on the pool fence, and it should work great for that. I'll also throw in another load because I'm a bit behind on laundry, and that will probably be my entire day

I've been curious about nalbinding for a while, and in particular lately I have been craving some kind of like, constructive fidget to be doing with my hands while watching/listening to things, so I decided to use a little of the money dad gave me at last visit to get a needle and a couple hanks of yarn. And they arrived today!

So I spent some of today practicing that, but also a hefty chunk of the day trying to undo the absolute mess I made out of one of the hanks as I was winding it into a ball. I am not done with that, actually, and will be continuing to try to put that to order for. A while.

But I nalbound a chain, and undid it, and redid it, and undid it, and redid it, and I also nalbound a shape. Kind of an oval. I can already tell you the most annoying thing about this practice and it's similar to the most annoying thing about embroidery, which is that you need the material you're working with to be short enough to pass entirely through your project with each stitch, and that means that you run out of it pretty quickly and have to add more to the end of it. I have been working with a length of yarn about three times the length of my forearm and I feel like it runs out after like ten minutes of nalbinding. But longer and it gets annoying to keep the yarn out of the way while I work

I also think I would prefer a slightly shorter needle, but this one is fine for now

On the other side of things, I picked up the basic stitch really quickly and it's nicely mindless. A good choice of craft for me I think

Another thing that arrived today was Oz's new food, and she has been eating it! I've been mixing it in with her old food to transition between them, but I don't think I'll have to do that any more tomorrow, touch wood. The wet food was not in the package, so I still don't have any of that for her and I'm a little concerned because that package didn't have any tracking. So I was kind of hoping that it had just ended up in the same package as the dry food, but no such luck. I ordered that the 15th, so I guess I'll give it until next week before I ask them what the heck.

&nsbp;
Alright, going to go watch things and nalbind some more shapes. I don't really know how I'm supposed to be conjugating that, but I have seen 'nalbound' being said so I'm just going to extrapolate and assume I treat it like 'bind'

She threw up again this morning. I've attempted to give her the anti-emetic but I'm not at all certain it's ended up inside of her. Hopefully this is just because it's a new food and not anything inherent to the food

Both times were while she was using the litterbox, as well, so hopefully that doesn't mean she has some kind of blockage or something. I will clean the litterbox in a minute as well to make sure there isn't something in it that's somehow making her sick

I have successfully converted my tangled mass of yarn into a ball! Honestly in and of itself a very nice constructive fidget, despite a lot of frustration on the first day when I felt like I needed to get it done immediately. When I let myself just pick it up and set it down as I felt like working on it, it was fine

Oz threw up three times the day before yesterday and went completely off of dry food -- luckily she was still willing to eat the wet food and it didn't seem to cause her any digestive upset, though she still doesn't eat enough of the wet food even if it's all she's eating. I gave her another anti-emetic and I'm hoping it's just that I transitioned to the new food too fast, so I'm trying it again but slower this time. Yesterday she ate only wet food but today she's eating some of the dry food, fingers crossed.

Rough weekend for me as well, I've been very fatigued. I wanted to get some stuff done but ended up just reading more Higurashi and playing video games. I've fired Outer Wilds back up and I'm making some progress on it

Today I am working on SnowRPG again, the current step is just writing up a list of street names to use. The next big goal is to code NPCs so their schedules are interruptible, so people can talk to them without them wandering off during the conversation. Ideally when interrupted they will stand still until the player exits dialogue with them and then continue standing there for like, 5-10 seconds before continuing their schedule because there's little more annoying than accidentally exiting dialogue with an NPC and they fuckin' book it off to somewhere else while you're trying to re-engage them

The fall semester has started and I have a couple tasks to do for my class, just your usual 'introduce yourself' stuff. So I do need to do that, I think it's due on Thursday. I also reset my progress on all my Japanese-learning apps and I want to get back to that with more consistency

And today I need to clean the litterboxes and take a shower. Possibly shave while I'm at it but probably not

Alright, I should get back to it
